Why Doesn't Kennywood?

Just wondering if anyone knows why Kennywood doesn't stay open weekends after Labor Day? I know smaller parks close then, but Kennywood is in a big city and would still probably draw a nice size crowd until late September. Anyone have any clues?

Consider that Cedar Point has a large international work force and is also centrally located between far more colleges that they can draw employees back to on the weekend. Toledo, BGSU, Cleveland State, Akron, OSU, Michigan and at least a dozen smaller schools.

Doesn't Cedar Fair in general have a lot of international employees?

KW's early closing might not be due to short staffing as it might be due to a dropoff in business. A fair portion of their business, I believe, is from company picnics. A lot of companies don't have picnics after Labor Day. Therefore, KW doesn't open after Labor Day. Just a theory. However, don't forget they open in early April, about a month before anything within a three hour radius from the park.
