Why doesn't it work?

I have all the versions of roller coaster tycoon. I got a new computer and i can install the original and corkscrew follies on it. They play fine. Then when i install Loopy Landscapes, when I try to play it, an error message comes up right when the main menu comes up. Then I have to quit and it keeps doing that every time I try to get in. My system info is as follows:
Dell computer
1.4 GHz
Windows ME
60 Gb hard drive
32 mb nividia
128 RAM
Could someone please help me!?

Millennium Force all the way!
hey blink,
i have a system 1/2 that size and still run all 3 versions of RCT. My suggestion is to save any parks that you have made to disk and delete it off your system then re-install the original RCT, followed by the CORKSCREW FOLLIES cd, then try the LOOPY LANDSCAPES version. That's the way i did it and i've never had any problems with it except killing too many people on coasters. Good thing i work in insurance instead of coaster design =)

SRM VII: May 11.....be there, or be ... well, not there.

Uninstall all of it, then install the original... reset your comp. Then install LOOPY LANDSCAPES, you can skip installing corkscrew follies because that is on the loopy landscapes disk. Tell me if this works or not...

For all ya that think your bumper car is broken... (Try turing the wheel in the direction you wana go.)
The exact same thing happened to me. I no have a conspiracy against Loopy Landscapes.
The same thing happens on my computer. I have tried over and over again re-installing it and it still happens. I finally gave up and took LL out of my computer
I believe LL doesn't work with Windows 2000. Go to Chris Sayers site for more info. I'm pretty sure I saw somthing about it there.

Yes it does work... there's a patch on www.rollercoastertycoon.com that'll hook you up. I can run it just fine on Win 2000.

First off, look at what you type before you submit. That's the worst string of garbage I've ever seen. Second, the interface for Win2K is the same as any other version of Windows. Don't attribute your lack of understanding to the software. You can plop downloads where ever you have permissions.

I posted this on a different topic, but the same rule applies. I had the same problem... It is definately the patch that helps:

I had a similar problem all the time when I re-formatted my computer...

What I did first was:
A) Uninstall the game.
B) Blow out all the RCT registry keys.
C) Re-install the first game.
D) Install the 1st patch
-- Make sure game is working at this point.
E) Install the Add-ons.
F) Install the add-on patch (either LL or CF, depending on which one you have).
G) Try the game now!

- Burnt CDs should work just fine. I made about 4 copies of each RCT & they all work just fine. It wasn't until I installed each patch seperately when it finally worked.

BTW: This took me like 24 Uninstall/Re-installs to figure it out.
