Why aren't there more tophats??

Because more parks haven't chosen to buy a coaster with one.

Top Hat is my favorite inversion.

I love travling backwards over the tophat.

The B&M hammerhead element is one step closer to getting top hats on good coasters!

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
I know of one "top hat" that will be coming in very shortly, so the element isn't completely dead.

I think the tophat is one of the greatest inversions I've been on. Mr. Freeze rocked! I can't wait to ride the St. Louis version. I hope we see more of these in the future.
Which element is the Hammerhead? is it the turn after the first drop on Nitro? Or is it the turnaround?

AKA V2 at CCN! AKA SFMWManiac at SFMWOnline!
The turnaround.
top Hat inversions are the best elements and i think a B&M tophat would rock but when the ride shocks are bad they can get really bumby! such as batman side of the chiller somtimes its ok but tord mid summer such as july erlie aug it can become a head banger! but maybe thats why B&M wont use them ?
Coundn't the tophat be a good inversion on a full-circut coaster. Thay look like a good compact loop.

Let the bears pay the Bear Tax, I pay the Homer Tax.
But they require a quite a bit of speed since you're going straight up at first. Thats why they have been on lim coasters like mr. freeze. They rock going over them backwards!!!
