Why are people always out for the quick buck?
I check out Coasterbuzz, and the first thing I see is the new headlines. Woman receives settlement from The Great Esacpe, and Woman sues SF Fiesta for head banging on Jokers Revenge. What is our country coming to? I can understand why the woman at the Great Escape got money, but headbanding. Thats why they have the signs at the entrance to the coaster. Maybe she should have stuck to riding the train or monorail. :)
Its the American way. We are a country known for being "sue" happy. It also doesnt help when you have a lawyer stressing to you that you have a case.

I think the lawsuit about the neck injuries turned out the way it should have. The other one was just insane.I think if you need sugery for something though you should get money from the park to compensate you for the cost of surgery and whatever problems it causes.
Damn, and I go to Cedar Point and people hardly ever get hurt there. Maybe I could try the new Six Flags

The woman sueing Fiesta Texas over the headbanging believes it caused her a brain injury, not just discomfort. There are many of these similiar suits out there dealing with various rides like Indiana Jones at Disneyland, Manhatten Express in Vegas, Mr Freeze at Six Flags over Texas, etc.
You can look at it in a good way and think that maybe they will take OTSR's off of some rough looping coasters! Can you imagine how awesome an SLC would be with a Vekoma dutchman nylon vest!

Yeah. Capacity would suck, and before long you'd have a rider drop out the front of the seat.
I can see why they would use those things on the Flying Dutchman, since that ride requires some upper body support. But it is a terribly cumbersome arrangement, and on a ride like an SLC that doesn't require forward support of the upper body, there are better designs out there.

Jephry you know as well as I do most of those people are not injured and are just trying to get loads of money. Last summer I almost broke my ribs on beast and had my ribs bruised pretty badly but I didn't feel the need to go and sue Kings Island.
That one lady just probably walked off with at the most a head ache or something to that affect.

JORDON they might be faking it but you don't know. Thats the thing, you don't know. You can really only assume. Thats great you didn't sue Kings Island, hey I would have either, its a waste of time. But if a person wants to make a quick buck, why do it at a park, why not go to a store and slip and fall? I think faking it at a park is a big stretch.
