Who's got the most B&M's?

Please. You so like Pop music. You're not a non-conformist, Danny, give it up already!

;)

I'm sorry. I meant, it's like saying Madonna makes good movies. =p

+Danny

But Danny, YOU DO take DCA out of the mix. ;)

Not to get even farther off topic but how in hell did Gwen's album get nominated for so many Grammy awards is a mystery to me. I bought it and thought it was a piece of crap! I ended up giving it to a friend.

Gwen's album is pure trash although I must admit that I enjoy Cool and the video made me cry a little.. Luxurious is a guilty pleasure but I won't claim it even borders on being good. Rich Girl and Hollaback Girl and the excessive references to Harijuku girls are way lame. What You Waiting For was fun for 5 minutes then Madonna seemingly ripped it off in better form with Hung Up. Confessions is the infinitely better dance album.

Speaking of the Grammy noms, I can't believe U2's horrid album is nominated either. My favorite out of the albums list, Late Registration, isn't even in my 25 favorites of the year. I will give Mariah and The Emancipation of Mimi credit though for being a solid comeback effort. I didn't anticipate it being nearly as fun as it was.

In general, I only see myself rooting for Gorillaz, The Killers, Keane, Coldplay, LCD Soundsystem, and, hm, Kelly Clarkson. =p Plus I'll be excited for whoever wins Best Alternative Album. Some amazing bands right there.

+Danny, loved Green Day before the entire AI album was overplayed and Fall Out Boy before the radio and your little sister made Sugar We're Goin' Down nauseating

I loved American Idiot from the start. I read about it in Rolling Stone just before it came out and made sure I got a copy right away. I was totally the one that introduced you and the Krist*ns to it, DannyP.
i liked Gwen's album...

And Greenday. Fall Out Boy's album is good. Sugar, We're going down got old, but the rest of the Album rocks. Too bad they're overplaying Dance, Dance. Oh, wait, I have XM, I don't listen to regular radio where they play crap overmuch.

The best thing with Fall Out Boy is the titles for some of there songs. Those alone make them an awesome band. ;)

i'm not sure what to put here..

I'm shocked that System of a Down only got one nod, for Best Hard Rock Rerformance by a duo or group for "B.Y.O.B." Even though Hypnotize isn't eligible for this year's awards, Mezmerize was definitely one of the best rock albums of the year. Oh, and where are The Mars Volta's nominations for Frances the Mute? I guess the academy must have a thing against good music.

But I do agree with the sentiments about Green Day; American Idiot is unquestionably a landmark album.

And as for the Fall Out Boy comment: you want good song titles, check out My Chemical Romance's Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. Gotta love such landmark examples as "It's Not a Fashion Statement, It's a Deathwish," "I Never Told You What I Do for a Living," and, my personal favorite, "You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison." :)

EDIT: Researched that first part and corrected spelling so as to avoid twenty people telling me I spelled it "acadmemy."

Yes, Three Cheers for My Chemical Romance.
Come on now... ;)

I slept with a member of fall out boy and all I got was this stupid song writtne about me... Now thats a great title, I'm not even sure if thats right.

and what about... Our lawyer made us change the name of this song so we wouldn't be sued

Those are great. :)

i'm not sure what to put here..

Hey how come know one mentioned SFDL they don't have a B&M either infact they don't even have a decient coaster in the park!
I have 2 or 3 a day...I'm regular!
If you want insane song titles, look no further than Illinois by Sufjan Stevens..

Some notable titles-
1) The Black Hawk War, Or, How To Demolish An Entire Civilization And Still Feel Good About Yourself In The Morning, Or, We Apologize For The Inconvenience But You're Gonna Have To Leave Now, Or, 'I Have Fought The Big Knives And Will Continue To Fight...
2) A Short Reprise For Mary Todd, Who Went Insane, But For Very Good Reasons
3) Riffs And Variations On A Single Note For Jelly Roll, Earl Hines, Louis Armstrong, Baby Dodds, And The King Of Swing, To Name A Few
4) Out Of Egypt, Into The Great Laugh Of Mankind, And I Shake The Dirt From My Sandals As I Run

Those are for some select instrumental parts of his album, so he's probably trying for make up for those who don't appreciate that, but the rest of the songs are amazing. That's probably my favorite album I've heard from 2005 so far.

Brand New's Deja Entendu probably still has my favorite titles ever.. Okay I Believe You But My Tommy Gun Don't, Jaws Theme Swimming, Me Vs. Maradonna Vs. Elvis, Good to Know If I Ever Need Attention All I Have to Do Is Die,.. And it's one of my favorite albums ever.

American Idiot is still an amazing album (although it indeed came out in 2004, like several other Grammy nominess, I usually keep my list in that same year) and I saw Green Day twice on tour with this album. It was basically the same show both times, but the openers the first time was the great Sugarcult and so-so New Found Glory and the second time was the wild and energetic My Chemical Romance. Fall Out Boy's Take This To Your Grave was much better, but Under the Cork Tree is still great if I tune out your sister. Their emo titles rock. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge is pretty fun too.

Flashback is not a B&M Coaster it is in fact Intamin.

I imagine Flashback as the embryonic child of two engineers at Giovanola who were not quite themselves yet.
Who would need some more years to untangle the hairpin dives into space curves of wide open loops and shape their own company with a distincive DNA for coasters: B&M

But since it's only an embryo B&M, maybe it doesn't count as 1, so SFMM will end up with 4.3 B&M coasters next spring.

How bouts we also include the only B&M woodie trains, that should bump SFMM up to at least 4.5!

My lawyer made me change the name of this post so I wouldn't get sued.
I'm so sick of American Idiot. I bought it the day it came out and it got old in like a month. It is so overplayed on TV. I hope Weezer wins a grammy. Their album, "Make Believe" is awsome. =W=
Sorry to burst your bubble, but they're only up for one Grammy (Best Rock Song) and they're up against Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, and U2 -- I wouldn't hold your breath on that one.
