Remember folks... following the PR reps into the restrooms to ask them questions is bad form.

Don't laugh... it happens every year.

Note to self: Don't follow Janice Witherow into the ladies room and ask her about CP's 2006 addition. That would be really, really bad form... ;) ;)

..and her husband might smack you to boot!

Janice will no longer work at Cedar Point as of this Friday. She has decided to focus her attention on her son. (But don't follow Bryan Edwards into the restroom either.)

I plan on stopping by. ;-)

I will be there also - hope to see everyone there.

I haven't been keeping up on things & didn't even know Janice was leaving - she will be missed (though I have no doubt that Bryan & the rest of the crew will continue doing a fabulous job).

Should be a very *freezing* event. ;-) Current weather forecasts a high of 20 on Saturday.

I was hoping some of this unusually warm weather (67 today) that we are having in WV right now would follow me up there.

Guess not. :-D

I'm gonna be there
I will be there representing the St. Louis crowd. I look forward to it! How will PKI top the Borg. Maybe they will bring in Mark Wahlberg or a mini cooper, lol. Anyone remember how icy it was last year, that stunk! It was funny though watching people slip and slide their cars around the parking lot. Anyone planning on hitting some indoor kiddie coasters while they are up there? I know I am, it has become a stupid tradition.

I was thinking about it...there are two FEc's in the area - I haven't been to either...

There's Enchanted Castle (east on Roosevelt off of 355)

And then there's Safari Land (East on North Ave off of 355).

Safari land is the further of the two parks from where NCC is being held, but not by much...What does everyone else think?

Besides, with our friends from PKI having yet another big announcement, will they be hosting another "after-con" shindig?

I did Safari Land last year and I had a really fun time. The coaster was pretty good sized and fun for the middle of the winter. I tried Enchanted Castle last year, but they told me that I couldn't ride. I think I may try again this year.

I never been to Enchanted Castle, But I have been Safari Land has lots stuff to do. In addition to the Roller Coaster, They have bowling, Paint Ball (New this year), Indoor Go Cart Track, and a Tilt-A-Whirl. And I think they are open till Midnight.

Here is a link with more info.http://www.chicagofun.com/safariland/

Also, is anyone going to Dress up as Mr. Six?

If you guys choose a place to have fun after the event, Safari Land is the best choice.

As Carlo said, they have quite a bit to do there. On weekends you can get a wristband for $20 which includes 2 rides on the coaster, 2 rides on the Go-Karts(fast cars), 2 rides on their coaster simulator ride, unlimited rides on the Tilt A Whirl, and unlimited rides on the bumper cars.

The bowling there is modern and cool, they have a bar for the people who want to have a couple cold ones. Also plenty of arcade and redemption games.

If you have smaller kids, they also have a giant Playplace area along with junior sized go-karts. The place is open until 1 am on Saturdays.

Another option near Safariland is Dave & Busters which is off of I-355.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

Enchanted Castle can be a madhouse on Saturday nights, but then again most indoor entertainment centers would be. They have the kids coaster, laser tag, mini golf, Krazy Kars, a simulator with 4-person motion pods (that may have changed since they advertise it as new on their site), and karaoke. I'm not sure if it's still there, but they had pool at one point.

It kinda confuses me that ACE SE would schedule an event for Sunday with the NoCoasterCon on Saturday, but maybe that's just me...
Shhh Chi-town don't tell everyone about Dave and Buster's, I don't want a bunch of acers by my house. You can go to the Dinorex also off of I-355 down Lake Street. The place is allways dead, and it is ok quality.
They told me at dinorex that I wouldnt be able to get in unless I had a child 12 or under with me.
