Whos been on Journey to Atlantis?

Who here has been on Journey to Atlantis at Sea World, San Diego? I went on it this past week, and I thought it was a great themed ride. I also found out that it had an elevator on it. What do you guys think?

It's an OK ride, but not exactly worth the price of admission alone. I may be jaded because on the first splashdown I got a big wash of sunscreen in my eyes, causing pretty bad pain and near total vision loss. But other than that, it was good, but still needs more "coaster" in my book.

I hope you also hit up the Belmont Giant Dipper while you were in the area.

Pass da' sizzrup, bro!

I went on it @ Christmas (I was in SD for a training camp). I was really excited for the ride, even though i knew not to expect much for a family coaster. The first drop did get me, i was expecting the big drop as a finale. The elevator was ok, when we first locked into position, for some odd reason, I thought we were going to get launched :S . The theming is one of the best i've ever seen. Very good ride, the ride had good speed and was generally smooth. I enjoyed my 3 back to back rides (it was a rainy day).
Soggy, I did get to ride the Giant Dipper. I thought it was a very classic ride, it was fun. Very Big-Dipperish, even though it was pretty jolty, it wasn't the kind that gives me a headache.

/me raises a paw... not a bad ride really, though I prefer the theming on Poseidon at Europa :)

Almost did but traffic prevented us from returning to San Diego. I can say that the Orlando version is pretty good!
I really enjoyed Atlantis when I was there last summer. I thought it was well worth the 45 minute wait. The only thing I wish is that I could re-create it in Roller Coaster Tycoon, but that elevator (which was really cool) isn't in the game.
Journey to Atlantis was a fun ride when it wasn't going down (and it does go down).

To be honest, I wouldn't recommend waiting any longer than a 15 minute wait for the ride, although they did offer a single rider line for those who were willing to split up their group for a potentially shorter wait.

I was at Sea World at orlando on Sunday and I don't remember the elevator, is it only at san diego and where is it. There was a 60 minute wait and so we went in singles and was less then 5 minutes. I didn't think it was that great, I much rather go on Dudley do right ripsaw. The themeing felt like it was put in there at the last minute, though I liked how the big drop was in the middle.
They don't have the elevator on the one at SWO. There is a lot more thematic elements on that one and then a large chain lift instead of the elevator.

Thanks Swoosh
