Who will be the first to ride Vertigo at Cedar Poi
Cedar Point's new ride Vertigo is scheduled to open on Wednesday, August 1, 2001. Will you be the first to ride? I wish it was me, but I can't I must work.
I think the test dummies will be first, then the ride designers, then some official people at CP, then it will be some lucky person.

I will be going to CP again during Halloweekends (hopefully). Does anyone know if the Challenge Park will be open during this time? I really want to ride this thing so I hope it is.
coastergoose -- it's weird, but I can't stand Ripcord and similar freefall things. There isn't a coaster built (or on the drawing board) that can intimidate or frighten me, but Ripcord is something quite likely I'll never do again. I was a "single flyer" for three times, and each time got more terrified -- thrilled at the same time, but the fear and the $25 does too many things to my heart at once. Yes, it is a great experience, just not one I'm into anymore - and I'll leave Vertigo to those more daring souls than I. I'll stick to coasters! :)

CrystalKat-I've ridden MF 100x, Raptor 432x (so far I might add ;)) and I wouldnt touch Ripcord or Vertigo if YOU paid ME. I'm a professional Power Tower "dodger" that thing even terrifies me!
So I can relate with you 110%-
the $$ is definitely an issue too, I'd rather buy another CP or Raptor shirt (just what I need :))
But that's just me!!
