Who went to Opening Day at SFA?

How many of you fellow buzzres went to Opening Day at SFA? How are things, any major or niticible changes; lapbars on JJ?

Sorry but I didn't make it to opening day this year,I was planning to go tomorrow but that plan was scrapped for two weeks due to a friend of mine not wanting to go due to the threat of rain. From what I've heard on the buzz a few days ago was that JJ has not yet recieved the lap bar trains due to premeire having fallen behind schedule with the manufacturing of the trains.I'm waiting on any buzzers who attended today's opening to post a trip report to find out how things went today.

I was there. So were Intamin Fan, 2Hostyl, Vacoasterfreak, Sam Marks, and a few others. At one point, it looked like a mini Buzz convention. Contrary to what was predicted, it was a really nice day for opening the park.

JJ was without trains. The trains are apparently still in Premier's shop. There were signs posted at JJ saying it was shut down for improvements.

Superman was it's usual fine self. Same with Roar. I thought that Wild One was running the best that it had in a while. I didn't have time to ride Two-Face since I had other commitments. Mind Eraser was down. Batwing was up and down running 2 trains and apparently using both sides of the station.

it was a good day at six flags. i was surprised at how fast superman was running, since it had been sleeping all offseason. boy was it running fast!
Well I'm glad I didn't go today after all what with Mind Eraser being down and JJ not even having it's trains yet,it looks like it's gonna be a while before it's up and running again.I wish I could've been there to ride Batwing with multi train /multi station operation though. What were the wait times for Batwing compared to last year's single train wait times and was anything added in the clearing between S:ROS and Batwing?
nothing new, not even a bathroom back there. wait times for batwing were about 35 mins, and superman was 10 minutes maximum for front seat.
See my trip report. Contrary to what Jim said, I saw Mind Eraser running in the afternoon, as well as every other ride in the park besides Joker's Jinx..

Well, I'll take a 35 minute wait over a 1.5-2 hour wait any day. =)
Mind Eraser was running yesterday. I rode it. Unfortunately the ride still beats you up. Everytime I saw it, it was always running. What really amazed me of course was riding Batwing with the normal laydown procedure up the lift, we got stuck going up the lift, but at the end of the ride we arrived in the other station, freaked me out. Yesterday was the first time I saw two train operation, ever. The best part of yesterday was running into fellow Coasterbuzzers (all of the previously mentioned) and enthusiast pals. Great day, exept for the absense of Sky Escaper and operation of JJ.

Gravity is your friend!

I was only there in the morning. I had to leave after just a couple of hours. I guess that Mind Eraser didn't get started until after I left.

Did Typhoon Sea Coaster operate in the afternoon. They had boats moving on the lift when I rode Raor. Last year it was some time after opening day before they opened it, but it looked like it might make it for the first day this year. (Of course the warm weather made a wet ride more attractive early in the season.)

Was Batwing running both sides of the station in the afternoon?

Read I-fan's trip report,in it he stated that Batwing was running both stations and at least two trains.
Yes Jim, Typhoon Seacoaster opened up around 12pm. Of course, our group, which numbered 6, made a beeline for it. The water was actually warm, and didn't smell bad either.

Well, I went the day after opening day (today) because I had a Track Meet Saturday. I think that the park is cleaning up, but we still have the problem of bad ride ops. I hope to see the lap-bars soon.
