Who just saw the Extreme Machines special???

I just watched the Extreme Machines special on roller coasters and some extreme thrill rides TLC and I thought it was great. I would love to spend all of that money to go to the edge of space!! The weightlessness aircraft ride looks pretty darn sweet! We better get our booties over to Russia!! They did Millennium Force what it deserves. I thought Stealth was represented very well. Although I did recognize Mr. , well I can't remember his name but he was in that show with Goliath. I think they should have picked something better than Top Gun at PGA for high G-forces), but I am sure it is a good coaster with good forces. I though a good old 7 g Schwarzkoph should go in there!! Thoughts?

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
Personally, I thought they were gonna show more good coasters other than Stealth.
Overall the show was good but I was a little disappointed there weren't more coasters.

Does anybody know where in Florida that thing (Space Shot or something like that) is that 2 people sit in and they shoot you up in the air? I think they said Orlando. We are going there next month and I definately want to ride it.

Thank you for riding America's Roller Coast
Are you talking about skycoasters?

You build it, I'll ride it
He's talking about the ejector thingy...
I believe that is called the "Ejector Chair" that loriu is talking about. It's made by the same people that invented the "Sky Scraper." I'll try to get some more info from my friend's coaster video tommorrow for you all.

Rollercoasters: They're not a hobby, they're not an interest, they're an ADDICTION!
If I'm not mistaken, you can find the 'ejector seats' at various places in the country. I got to see one in action in Wisconsin Dells (it was across from Big Chief's). I literally said "What da (explitive deleted)!", Which was really bad cause there were kiddies around, my sister admonished me. Thn about 10 min later, she saw it launch and said the same thing...I was rollin'

If you could see through all of that vibration on The Force, that was me mid-train. ;)

Ioriu:

That Space Shot thing is in Old Town on rt 192 in Kissimee by Disney. Old Town is pretty neat with shops, bars and restaurants. Space Shot cost $20 or at least it did 2 years ago. It's really intense the first time. They also have a 100 foot bungee jump with an airbag below(the wussy version), and a decent coaster there but I can't remember the name of it. Nothing big, but still cool after a few beers!
Thanks Dave.

I havta say I was totally impressed that Top Gun had the highest g's of anything they showed! Almost 5 g's at the bottom of the loop and 4 g's going through the helix finale! If any of you have ridden this, you'll recognize this ride was built when B&M actually put forces in their loop coasters. Many refer to the new Floorless coasters as Forceless coasters, they just don't pack the g's like older B&M's do. Short ride, but totally intense! Just like the B:TR clones.
They used to have one of those Ejector Seats down on International Drive in Orlando at one time located near Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Not sure if it's still there or not, but that one in particular was featured on another thrill ride show earlier this year. Also, the Skydiving simulator is located just off of "I-Drive" right outside the Universal complex. The coaster at Old Town is called Windstorm I believe. Never ridden it before though.

I guess this was more a "catch all" for thrills. Did anyone else hear the price of the ONE DAY racecar driving thing? $2,500!!! I was thinking about how many parks / coasters you could ride for that much money. I didn't come up with any numbers, but it would be plenty.

Gotta ride 'em all!
I also thought that the show was pretty good. I liked seeing the high-expense thrill rides, but, until I win the lottery, I'll stick to coasting thank you very much.

The one thing that galls me is that none of the POV's seem to do the steepness or the height of MF's first drop justice. I mean, the video makes it look like a fairly steep drop, but not the "straight down" that it felt like. Anyway, an enjoyable show.
Top Gun at PGA had as much g's as Golitath and does also make people black out. The ride is short but really focouses on speed!! It is a relitivly straight B & M with only three inversion but has some nice helixes over the water that everybody loves. That coaster deserves alot of prase, It is probibly better than Stelth.

RIDDERLER'S REVENGE IS THE MOST UNDERRATED RIDE IN THE WORLD!
I saw this as well. That stock car thing looked intense. Anybody catch the price on the speed boat or the wind tunnel things?.. I must have blinked.

Sky diving is kinda cheap though... I did this for $99 bucks the first time and $50 bucks for my 2nd, 3rd time.

But I have to admit... I was only watching the show because I did not want to miss any coasters.
