Who is missing Windjammer Now!!!

My god xcellerator looks awesome. To me it looks like the best launched ride yet.

Those people who complained about windjammer being scrapped must be feeling a bit foolish now, look what we have got to enjoy instead. My only niggle with the ride ( no it's not a complaint) is that there will be so much speed left over going into the break run ( same as oblivion), oh well, no one will complain that the ride drags on and has 'dull spots'

I can't wait to ride this beast when i come over to L.A. on June 12. Does anyone know when the californian schools go on vacation?? I so hope they are still in school, so the parks will be quieter. If any of you out there know i would really appreciate you letting me know.

Who was complaining that WJ was getting yanked? It was one of the most painful rides to date, add to that the rollbacks, and you get one of the poorest designs ever. I was upset that it took so damn long to get the thing gone after it was finaly closed. I have had a KBF pass for 2 years and the whole time I have been a passholder, there was WJ SBNO just taking up space. What a waste!

It's a shame they couldn't continue Xcellerator a bit more. Just keep winding it around itself a couple more times.

I *missed* WindJammer in that it was SBNO on my only previous trip...even if it was a totally *sorry* machine (read: POS), it still would've been worth "one for the count"....(and 2 for some...;))....lol.

What's YOUR favorite Intamin?

I liked Windjammer, I never had any headbanging on it (after my first ride, then I know how to ride it). It was a quirkey, fun little ride. I have been on coasters that were worse than Windjammer...

That's not to say I'd rather have it there over Xcelerator, mind you. If I had to chose between keeping Windjammer and not getting Xcel, well, I think I would be one of the first to help demolish Windjammer. :)

But let it be known, there was at least one person out there who didn't think Windjammer was the spawn of Satan!

Same with Legendary. I actually liked the ride. It didn't hurt at much as some people made it out to be and YES I've ridden worse rides. BUT, Xcelerator causes the defucnt WJ to be extremely inferior. Xcelerator, I welcome you. At long last.

I for one do not miss Windjammer because is is stupid that Togo thought they could do it on their own. They built three very succesful racers with Senyo then come to America thinking their all hot stuff and try doing it alone. **!DOINK!**Did they realize that Senyo actually had the brains? Did they realize that Senyo did not come up with the only major flaw in the previous version, Togo's crappy trains? Did they realize that alone, Togo coasters break down into cha bang bang without another quality company to work out the system? Did they realize that they do a great job when working to gether but fall apart when Togo does them alone. Togo should just merge with Senyo or Okamoto, because alone they are the worst coaster company in the world.
