who HASN'T been on the Cyclone!

Every time I tell someone I'm a roller coaster fan, they ask me "Have you been on theCyclone?" No, I have not been on the Cyclone! Does anyone know what I'm talking about. Is it that important to go on the cyclone? Why is it on the top ten list?

Medusa rears it's ugly head. A monster coaster unlike the world has ever seen. Your strapped to a flying chair, 14 stories in the air! Just don't look down, you can turn to stone! Only at Six Flags Great Adventure! Buy one season ticket admission get one

Ive never either and im trying to get on it this year since it is the most famouse coaster in the world.
ive ridden it, tis bassicly the dream woodie that everyone fanticizes about hjaving in there park. itsa an awesome experecne to ride a coaster of the first golden age, tis a little rough but it is so much fun.
I never been on any of the cyclones. It would be nice, but i'm not all that interested, or is it that good of a ride, or just that fact that it is more of a traditional coaster you have to ride, to feel like you are on a piece of "history"

IMHO Cyclone is a fun yet aggressive classic coaster that might not always be people's cup of tea. I love it and rank it in my Top 10, but I know others who do not like it and rank it much lower. It is a piece of history - 75 years old this year - and I think in order to appreciate what we have now and what we get in the future we need to appreciate our past. Plus Cyclone and the surrounding Coney area is unlike anywhere else on the earth and has to be experienced to be believed...*and* appreciated.

How much to I love Cyclone? Enough to fly from my home in LA to NYC this weekend to attend the season opening!

I can fix anything.....where is the duct tape?

A Huss Giant Top Spin Will Replace King Kobra

I, unfortunately, have not. I do, however, plan on amending that situation during this upcoming season!

I have ridden it when I was younger and loved it. I am about an hour from the city and really should make another trip to Coney Island!

I am so ashamed of myself I live in N.Y.C and I am a hop skip away to just riding a train to get to coney Island but I never went there before.

Last year for spring break I was in NYC. All week I was trying to convince him to let me go and ride it. I finally convince him and get on his laptop. I go to their website and find out that it's ONLY OPEN ON THE WEEKENDS!!!!! I was really mad. The first weekend had allready passed, we had plans for that Saturday, and we were leaving Sunday and didn't have time. I was so pissed. So, I had my chance, but I blew it. Cya.

I've never been close to NYC so I have yet to get on the classic woodie. However, next year (2003) I plan on getting on its brother (TX Cyclone) at Astroworld on my sweep through the Texas parks

LOL, I find it so comical that you take it upon yourself to be Coasterbuzz's grammar goddess. By the way, I think "post" in your last sentence should be pluralized

Cy-Clones pale in comparison before the Mother Of All Rollercoasters....there is but one true MOM, and thou shouldst travel many miles thusly to attend to the required pilgrimage. Bathe yourself in the history, inhale the salty sea air, and feel the screams of millions of riders throughout the decades in the city that never sleeps....do NOT believe others, find out for yourself!

Never been, but we're going to Coney Island in June. Even if it's not even 1/10th of what its cracked up to be, I'll be happy to have ridden a true classic.
