Who has ridden X?

I wonder what it feels like.  It must be awesome.  I can't wait until it finally opens for good.  For those of you who rode it, how was it?

TOP 5
1. Alpengeist, 2. Magnum XL-200, 3. Superman: Ride of Steel (SFNE), 4. Volcano: The Blast Coaster, 5. Apollo's Chariot
Close Calls 1. Grizzly (PKD), 2. Batwing, 3. Montu
I don't think anyone is going to answer you...Nobody has really been allowed to ride on it.

Yeah, I work at Magic Mountain...What's your point?

I'm not sure if any human has ridden X yet.  Have any of the Arrow guys snuck a test ride yet?   I've only seem pictures of empty trains cycling, no water dummies or instruments that I could see.  Anyone know anything about that?

Some Arrow people and SFMM people have ridden it. Of course that was before the ride was completely ready. Employees will be riding it shortly before media day, so don't be surprised if  reviews start to roll in soon. I myself will give a detailed report right after press day, in the trip report forum. Don't worry, I will give my honest impressions of the ride and will not allow my bias towards SFMM color my opinion.

Sure, Arrow's president has been on it and he says it's pretty amazing (not that he'd say anything else).

Apparently, about 39% of people that have visited SFMM's website and answered their poll have ridden it and consider it to be their favorite ride at the park.
I think he's asking those people with X in their track record...;)

force312, I believe he's referring to the problem of "self-reported" data.  Working in IS, I can tell you that polls, and data collection in general, tend to have their flaws.  As for X itself, it sure LOOKS amazing - I bet that thing would scare the *stuff* out of Toomer...

I have ridden it. It can't compare it to anything I have ridden in the past. The feeling that you get when you are on it is nothing I have EVER felt before. On other roller coasters, you have an idea what it's gonna do and which direction you are going. On X, you DONT! You feel that you have no control over the situation. And that feeling is what is gonna make X the best ride on the planet! Oh yeah, and the first drop face down also helps :)

Of course some people, with very special contacts and connections with not only the parks but the manufacturers, too, have gotten to ride, LOL! Of course, that's only what my classified, special contact told me(yes, that's sarcasm). I bet most people with X on their track record do not have their age displayed, just a hunch.......
Ok and I've Ridden Wicked Twisted, Knotts new coaster, Air, Sliverstar Colossus (10-looper) and The 412 foot gigaterra coaster in germany :O)~lol j/k

Rob, you sarcasm is noted--and you may seem to think people are lying when they say they've rode a ride.  I don't know if that Chris guy rode X or not, but I know I rode both of our two new coasters before they opened for the public (of course I never went around and said...haha I got to ride...but some feel like they need to).  Sometimes I say stuff to spite people on here, but flaunting that I have ridden a ride before them--I guess I think its a little too mean.  I wish some people on here would realize they will not be the first person from this site to ride a coaster, and that there are people that could have ridden something well in advance.
Im an employee at SFMM,and it is very easy for us to ride if its safe,I havent seen it but i know some supervisors have been on it,they have to let the operators ride during training so they know what the ride is like.
The ride was cycling last night on my way home from work but it was too dark to tell if anyone was on it or not. If you roll down your window you can actually here the lift hill from the freeway!

At this point I'd be willing to believe that a few people have ridden it, although Chris was mighty vague in his description. We already know it will be unlike any other ride, and we already know the first drop will be insane.

Give us something we *wouldn't* know just by looking at the ride.  ;)

I have seen Chris on other threads and I think he said he was a roller coaster designer. I beleive he said that he is working on a new theme park in Memphis. That is what his signature is about.

I was out at SFMM in September before all the max weight problems occurred. I was checking out the 4d becuase the park I am working for was looking to purchase one. I rode it with some Arrow reps and some SFMM managers. I got 3 rides in on a late Friday night around 10pm. 2 rides in front, one in the middle.

Dweaver  How is this.. the queue is themed to Area 51.. is that enough for you?

Guys, I just said the president of Arrow, the guy who runs the company that built the thing, has actually been on it. Why is it so impossible to believe others have as well?

I plan on riding it soon, if guests are allowed on it by the time I get to California... just looking at the pictures of it is scary! I'd love to work at MM, I can believe that they'd get to go on it first (we do at Elitch's... when we have somthing new!)

Chris,

Can you tell us what park you are employed at (or is it a new park, as I think your sig indicates)?  I don't doubt you've ridden X - just was wondering what park might get one next.

Here is a link to the forum that talks about the park Chris is working on:
