who has ever had the chance?

Who has ever had the chance to ride the Beast without trim brakes? I did last Summer in early June when the park first opened. It was the most awesome thing I had ever done. If you have had the chance to ride the Beast like this, talk about your experiance.

Could you have come up with a more specific title? Since a lot of people would not care to click on the topic if it had more of a focus on the title. A spell check would of not hurt either.

Hey Son of Beast or anyone else who has ridden Papa without brakes, how the heck did you get to ride that thing without any brakes? I'm a ride operator on Beast and I know the only way that it could run brakeless is if maintenance turned the power off the brakes in the brake shed. Was it during a special event or something? Or was there a malfunction? Usually if there is something wrong with the ride all brakes will come up. It seems really unlike PKI and there emphasis on safety to turn the brakes off. I would most definately think that it would hit quick dip much too fast and cause damage to the train and the track before second lift. Also if the train hits a photo-cell unit too fast the computer will automatically slow the train down.

Beast Crew 2001!!!
That day the photos were not open. Im not sure if was a special event. The ride op said that they were off. There was also alot of gossip in the line about the trims being off.

Did it have all those brakes in its first year of operation? If not, then I have. Not that I remember much about it ...
