I know the guy who sells Dippin Dots at CP. He knows all about everything. He told me all about the dueling impulses CP is getting this year, the CCI going on top of DT, the flying Intamin that is replacing WWL, and the floorless that's going in the parking lot.

Doesn't it seem as though morons always have the caps lock on?
I think I talked to the same guy and he said they are adding 100 feet to millenium force. ;-)

I know someone "in the industry" and I'm not scared to admit it: Her name is Paula Werne aka Raven_Maven.
Now the real question is would she admit that she knows me!
jeremy -------------Yes, of course! Actually, by nature I have a hard time remembering people--which really doesn't help in this job! By I try like crazy to get a few more faces and names jammed into my brain each year. I held the door to the Holiday Theater open for Jeremy at SRM last year--and declared he didn't look "Hostyl" at all (he has a gorgeous smile!). Then Jeremy returned for the Discovery Channel shoot later in the summer.
As a sidebar, I really get tickled when someone calls for a favor from the company, trying to impress me that they've known this or that member of the Koch family for years--and then mis-pronounce their last name! (It's "cook," btw.)
Hope to see a lot of you (whether I know your name or not) at No Coaster Con! Will Koch is planning to hit EastCoaster.
Stay warm, Paula

I should note, though, that I've had the good opportunities to meet such wonderful people because I do things in my life. Sitting around hoping someone will contact you isn't going to get you anywhere. You've got to be an active participant in your life and direct it where you want it to go. By doing that, you're sure to get into all sorts of crazy situations.
...now, since Jeff mentioned that anyone who says they know people without saying who is full of it - I'll say this -

Even if a big fat person is riding it?

Well, Dean Kamen's not that fat, so I'm not too sure, really. As a matter of fact, none of the others were too large, either.
It is cool, nonetheless. . .
