Who do we need to kill at PKI to get a B&M ?

As long as what they wait to add doesn't end up like SOB

Id rather have nothing than that backbreaker

It's hard to say if PKI is doing financially well. I don't know if Viacom even publishes the numbers for its theme park business.

However, looking at the park and the money they've spent on the details leads me to believe that they're not hurting. The only mistake I can pin on them is the thousands of square feet of unshaded concrete in Action Zone.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

I'm still stuck on the meaning of "Jonesin." Although, I'll take just about any ride at Kings Island over Mantis.

Flying Scooter coming soon!
Wow I just realized the last adult steel coaster the park got was in 1999 in the form of a Vekoma Invertigo. The one previous to that was 1996 with Flight of Fear. I'd actually say they are "due" for a steel coaster in '05! Six seasons without a steel coaster (and five seasons without an adult coaster) period is a pretty good chunk of time, I think at least. But who am I?

This means that he is excited for something new to come asap and will keep desiring it until it comes.

It's like a whole other language. I thought he was lusting after somebody named Jones.,
I always associate 'jonesing' with 40s/50s junkie culture, where the junkie is 'jonesing' for a fix or 'waiting for Mr. Jones' when waiting to score a fix. I've also heard 'got a visit from Mr. Jones' used by recovering junkies to describe a bad night of withdrawl symptoms.

I'm not quite sure how the term got to be so mainstream that it could be used in the context of roller coasters, but it obviously has (and has been for some time now). That would be interesting to investigate.

I'd rather have a nice CCI-like woody to compensate for their last wooden monstrosity than get a new B&M. King's Dominion doesn't have a B&M either. I'm not complaining.

Every time I think PKI is finally going to step up to the plate with a major steel coaster they slap us in the face with a Hannabarbarra or waterpark expantion

It's only a slap for you--plenty of other visitors like that stuff just fine.

But seriously, they're only doing it to cheese you off. Yes, you and you only. In fact, they're laughing and high-fiving each other right now while you rant and rave. Looks like Ed from accounting won the 'When will Skip07 get all whiny' pool, too...

I don't think enthusiasts are the only people who would prefer a coaster some years - I just think enthusiasts are the only people who would prefer a coaster EVERY year. :)

I'm very surprised that nobody has looked at what PKI has already announced and put two and two together. I think we might see a water coaster next year....

Petey Pablo?

Beenie Man?

I give up already!

And yes chris, that is where 'jonesin' came from. Now it just means a deep urge or craving.

If you have read any of the postings in the past for this park you would see I am not the only person wanting and waiting for a steel coaster (of any sort) to purk up this park. So you have fun in kiddie land and when your done hop back in your car for another 6 day trip! Dont forget your towel I hear the wave pool at Rusty's road side amusement center is a hoot !

Rusty's Road Side has a wavepool? Gimme a sec...(runs for towel)

Look, I gotta go take a real quick roadtrip. But while everybody else waits to hear all the details of PKI's expansion before flipping out, why don't you and alllllll those vast unnumbered...uhhh...dozens on this board who demand a 'real' coaster put both hands on your keyboards, stare at your monitors and have like a big freaky telepathic mindmeld with PKI management? That'll change their minds for sure.

It doesn't really work unless you get a nosebleed. Stare harder.

Easy there Coasta just remember you shot first! dont take it personal (unless you own PKI ) You seem to have some serious issues and sounds like you have been talkin to Miss Celo a bit too much so you run with it and have fun on your trip !......I dont hate the playa just the game.
Yeah nuttin 'purks' me up like Miss 'Celo'....but aren't you supposed to be listening for Jeff Siebert's brainwaves right now?

Man, this is just too easy.

While I also would LOVE to see a brand new B&M at the park soon, I have no problem waiting it out.

I agree with Moosh. All those things that some folks might think are stupid choices for the park are what helps pay for the stuff that some people really enjoy.

As for the park getting an Intamin. I would be very surprised to see one going in at that park. With the problems Drop Zone has had in the past, as well as the poor reliability of more than a few Intamin coasters, I just don't see them building one at the park anytime soon.

I myself love the feel of what an Intamin ride provides, but if I owned a park, I don't think I would purchase a ride from them. I am not ragging Intamin through the mud. I just think if the park decides to build a brand new steel coaster, they would go with a very reliable manufacture.

Paitence........

i cant wait to see the looks on all your faces when the announce they are building the WORLDS largest Wave Pool...lol.....it would be one Huge A** Slap in the Face!

Always look for the dark humor in every situation-Ryan Carter

I think PKI should bring back the BAT! ;)
The Intamin hypers seem to have resolved their reliability issues. I'd think Paramount's philosophy on blocking would be a bigger obstacle in purchasing an Intamin coaster.
