Which woodie has the most laminations (track layer

Or you can say which woodie has the thickest track and how many layers of wood does it have. I know that Timber Wolf has added 2 more layers of wood to it's track the year before Cedar Fair purchased the park than the original stracture has. Boss and SOB seemed to have thick track.
This may sound funny but Thunderbolt at KW has some thick track on those turns around the que. I guess this is for all the (amazing) laterals. That, so far, has been the only woodie which seemed to have abnormally large track. (lol, that sounds funny)
I remember that too when I was there! :-)
I always thought that wooden track was all built the same so that the rolling stock would fit. I thought that number was 8 2X4s

.....Yeah, I think that smoke is supposed to be there.....

I know SOB was 13 layers and I think some other coasters have that much.

I noticed on Thunderbolt at SFNE that it had some unusual and thick lamminated wood in areas not replace in a long time.

Chuck, who remembers somebody saying Coaster at Playland wouldn't be rebuilt at a new location due to the non standardized wood involved.

Confirmed, Lesourdsville Lake opening for 2003 details soon at Lesourdsville.com

So Chuck if Playland move would they built a new woodie instead?

Remember the upstops are only about 3-4 layers down of the top, even though there are several more layers under it. Also rolling stock comes in different sizes, just depends how much the park wants to spend on custom sizes, for example, track guage is one of them, on SOB the track guage is only about 3 feet, where as on Beast/Racer it is around 4 feet.
