Which really has more???

Both Cedar Point and SFGAdv claim to have the most rides in one park. I know CP has like 68 or something, but i'm not sure how many SFGadv has.
Does anybody know which park really has more rides?

Great Adventure has 69 with the addition of Nitro - I guess they win by one ;)

I remember hearing that SFGAdv had like 76 including Nitro. I'm not positive though but I'm sure GAdv has more.

but how many of Great Adventure's rides actually operate simultaneously? There are some rides that I've never seen open.

Counting rides is like counting coasters, especially when it comes to waterslides.

I believe what Guinness does is classify a ride as an amusement device with mechanical workings. Cedar Point has the record for this as stated by Guinness. They do not count non mechanical rides (like Snoopy Bounce and the Rock Climbing Wall) or water slides. SFGAdv would have had less than CP last year according to Guinness, so going by their standards it at least a tie unless they are adding more than Nitro

But does it really matter?

Cedar Point is not just going to claim a record if they really don't have it. In 1999 MF was to break 11 world records, the 11th record was the first park to have two roller coasters to higher then 200ft, but the record was dropped when another park set the record. So if Cedar Point says that they have the most rides, then they have the most rides.

Exactly. Are kiddie rides counted as one for the general area, or each one separately? What about Gemini/Power Tower (I know we've done that one before)? Let's just say they both have A LOT of rides. :)

I doubt Cedar Point has the most,, I think its just said from someone else,, maybe about the coasters before,, but not all rides. But the park is still one of the best.

sfga has 86 with nitro it will be 87

Ya got that right. The only good thing about records is the competition. I hope Steel Dragon's record gets broken just as fast as the Force's did :)

What would really be cool IS if cedar point added on to MF and added like 10,000 feet on A whole bunch of loops , helixes and some really big drops
