I got a Cedar Point Platinum Pass which allows me to get into any Cedar Fair park, even though I only go to Cedar Point, the value is highly justified. I'd like to go to King's Island one day, but highly doubt it will be this year.
You should go. It's free.
I can see where the Platinum pass to use at CP only is a value what with parking, the water park, discounts, etc. provided you go enough. We've had this discussion before, but didn't we come to an agreement that the Ohio parks probably sell the most Platinums of any due to the close proximity of 4 qualifying parks?

Sure park entry to KI is free, but gas and a hotel isn't. And I would probably need to get a Fast Lane if I wanted to be able to enjoy everything in one day. And I do go to CP many times each year. I hope to get about 10 trips. And after making calculations, I broke even around my 3rd visit. I also use the BOGO go-karts in Challenge Park.
Just my GrAdv Gold pass. I've been to GrAdv only 3 times this year, but it got me parking and entry to SFStL a few weeks back, so it's all good.
The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

Having moved to Iowa now..
I only have a Six Flags Gold pass.. mostly because they are so cheap. I can't really justify a platinum Cedar Fair pass unless I work in multiple park trips to those parks in a year.. which only happens every once in awhile. As it is I plan on one weekend per year at KI or CP and a day at Valleyfair.. not worth the pass. I am saddened by this. I miss my years of 25-30 CP trips a year!
