Which Park Is Worth The Flight?

Cedar Point is my home park and is less than a two hour drive for me.  My question is, during the off-season, which park should I fly to/spend three days at?

Why 1 park for three days? Come to Cali for KBF, SFMM, DCA, and DL!

Oh man, I would whole-heartedly recommend the Florida parks. IOA and BGT to be exact. These parks are VERY light this time of year, with everything mostly a walk on.

Of course if you decided on California, you can't beat Disneyland and Knott's. And you just may catch a certain spinning coaster open! ;)

Well, macho nacho

I have not been to Florida, but I have been to L.A. several times. SFMM is huge and has many great rides. If you go when it isnt so busy, you can get on everything in a day, but two days would be recommended. If you're in the LA area, DO NOT miss out on Ghostrider @ Knotts. If you go after 4pm there is a discounted admission. There is also Disneyland and Disney California Adventure (havent been)but they are pricy. Universal Studios is pretty cool if youve never been. Not too many RIDES, but plenty of attractions to fill up a whole day.

Other than LA and Florida, I am not sure there are any other parks open in the off-season.

IOA and BGT... spend at least two days at IOA. After my trip there this month, I am a believer.

Yes Jeff, IOA certainly is ALL that.  the coasters are great, but the non-coaster rides are what REALLY make IOA for me.  That, and the theming is over the top.  Also, between now and May, there's a special deal at BGT - buy a ticket, get the park to yourself...LOL.  Really, though, AAA has a deal with IOA right now for a $99 1-year pass, with 12 months of riding, free parking, and discounts around the park.  Didn't renew my IOA pass at the old rate, but I sure will pick up a new one at THIS price...

Orlando or Southern California. I haven't been to Orlando since IOA was introduced, but everything I've seen and heard is nothing but great stuff.
I could easily spend a week at IOA, and i would suggest that you go to orlando to check it out.  Not only do you get 3 really good B&M's (well, 2 really good B&M's and an ok one with Hulk) but you also get 3 of the best water rides in the world (dudley do right is still messing with my head nearly a year later) and also Spiderman, which for many people (including myself) is a pretty life changing experience.

Not many choices during the off-season. Just Florida and So-Cal. I have been to Knotts, DL, for So-Cal and BGT and DW for Florida. I say just flip a coin because both destinations are worth it.

"The Peoples Elbow" or "The Spinaroonie?. Cant decide which is the most electrifying move in sports entertainment!!! LOL
Don't forget Kraken @ SW. When I was there you could get a free 2nd day pass good for SW or BGT.
This off-season I'm hitting Florida, next offseason it may be California.  Doesn't seem you can really go wrong with either when what you need is a coaster fix...

Go to Florida and spend 2 days at IOA and 1 day at BGT. If you have time hit Sea World for Kraken.
Macho Nachos.  These people are all crazy.  Fly out to Des Moines and take pictures of Adventureland for three days.  In the winter parking is free!

Just wait till next year!
