Which is rougher? Mean Streak or Wildcat?

Has anyone ridden both mean streak at cp and wildcat at hershey park and could tell me which one is rougher? I have never ridden mean streak and am pondering the thought of skipping it when I go to cp next week.
Can't we get over the fact Mean Streak has been completely toned down to SMOOTH??? If it is a walk-on ride, if not, don't. Well, at least you aren't complaining about them. I apprieciate that.

DOWN WITH TRIM BRAKES!
Well I'd have to say the Wildcat. I think the Wildcat has two bad spots bottom of first drop, and bottom of the final helix before the brakes. I wouldn't consider it a rough ride though. Mean Streak has good "potential" for a awsome ride minus the trims on the first drop. Did you ever ride Hercules at Dorney? That puts Mean Streak to shame for roughness. Who ever thinks Mean Streak is rough hasn't ridden Hercules. Just lean forward on the ride and you will be fine.

Coasterpunk, have you ridden Hercules recently? In my opinion I thought the Thunderhawk was rougher. I think Dorney has added trims down for the first 15 feet of the hill on Hercules. The coaster seemed alot smoother than usual, but also slower and more boring.

Dorney Park is awesome :)
Mean Streak was not that rough there are just lots of trim brakes that slows the train down to snail pace when going round the turns. The roughest coaster I have been on is Outer limits as my head kept getting bounched around from side to side when it did a inversion. Best to wear a crash helmit for this ride
Well, I'd say skip Mean Streak. I went yesterday, and the line was well over an hour. Plus, that thing is really rough. I found it very uncomfortable, and exceedingly unenjoyable. Sonny is smooth compare to that POS.
I was to Dorney in early June. I think the Thawk gives a better ride actually. Hercules just beats and bounces your back off of the hard foam seat unless you lean forward thru the entire ride. Thawk rips around the track at a fast pace. I always get pummeled on the top of the third hill because I always forget to tighten the seatbelt. ;) I think if Hercules had soft padding it wouldn't be as rough as it is. That hard foam is so unforgiving.:(

Ride Mean Streak early. Don't skip it, even though it is a real black eye on CP's face, it is worth a spin, just to say that you were on it. I was there on a rather busy day, but I rode MS before 11:00 a.m. and there was only about a 10 minute wait.

If you want rough, come out West and ride SFMM's Psyclone, rougher than MS and just as slow. Argueably, the worst woodie on Earth.

Gotta ride 'em all!
Go ahead, ride it, it's an OKAY ride. I mean it's still fun but just don't expect any airtime or anything. It USED to have airtime before the it got trimmed so much, but anywho, it's still a great ride and definately worth a spin. We can all anticipate the day when CP will turn the trims off for all of us who feel so strongly about it for a day or so. (yeah right!)
HAVE FUN!!

mean streak had to be the smoothest woodie i have ever been on , smoother than an arrow looper, its fun but it didnt feel like it should have
Not that my opinion matters, but I thought the Wildcat was one of the most smooth woodies that I have ridden (Besides the Lightening Racers). I rode it in every car and the roughest seat was 1-2. The Comet was rougher on it's first and second drops. I felt the Wildcat was worth the price of admission, alone. Perfect.
The Mean Streak was much rougher before the trims were added. We would ride in the last seat and have a severe headache, now it's child's play. Besides, if someone rides a woodie and expects the smoothness of steel, then those persons are riding for the wrong reason. Personally, I want to know that I have just ridden a woodie, by the battlescars that I take from the experience.

There's nothing like a woodie...
Wildcat was great and not all that rough, Mean Streak was Frustrating. As we started over the first hill my brother and I marveled at its heighth, then we fell asleep. That ride is trimed to death. I would skip it if there is more than a 15 min wait
If Mean Streak is trimmed so much, especially on the first hill does it still reach speeds of 65mph as they claim? I find that hard to believe that it would still get to that speed.

"DONT FIGHT IT, RIDE IT",,,,RAGING BULL
When I was to CP in June MS was almost stopping on the first drop. The first half of the ride seemed rather dull to me but after that midcouse it regained it's momentem. I bet if CP would remove the trims on the first drop and actually grease the track weekly, (or even monthly) it COULD turn into a top 10 woodie.

CP will NEVER take the trims off, so all who keep hoping that they will, are only kidding themselves.

Mean Streak will NEVER become a "top 10" quality ride, it just does not have good enough pacing or layout, even if it did go faster. I know, golden ticket, but do you really think it deserved it?

Also, I don't think MS will be torn down any time soon, (at least 10 years) The lines are still long on busy days, and (this one is for the GP) "It's big!" Former "world's largest" coasters tend to stay around, even if they have long since been eclipsed.

Mean Streak is definately rougher. Wildcat is an awesome, awesome ride. It's my #3 woody and I don't care too much for laterals/twister designs.

Wildcat has normal roughness, the type I expect a coaster to deliver. Great design with great movement. Good feeling of power, so you know you're not just out for a Sunday ride.

Mean Streak has roughness, but apparently its purpose doesn't really extend beyond the breathtaking views and great looking structure. Definitely lacks in delivering a normal coaster feel to most people.

P.S. Hercules is very rough and can be very painful to the back. Love the power, but the pain is very distracting. No marathon on this one for me.
I was at Hersheypark a couple of weeks ago, and quite frankly I can't understand how anybody could consider Wildcat to be a rough ride. I mean, The Beast, Kings Island's Racer, Mean Streak, Camden Park's Big Dipper, and of course Son of Beast are all rougher coasters than Wildcat.

My last Mean Streak ride was Sunday. The trims were so tight that I wondered if we would make it to the bottom of the first drop. By the time it got there we were going so slow I was surprised we made it to the top of the second hill. What a waste of time that ride was!
