Which Intimidator is better?

I wonder if the Windows 7/Zune phone will be this cool

The music player in the phone essentially is a Zune. And there will likely be a CoasterBuzz app for it as well, so that makes it even more super cool. I really like the Windows Phone UI, but I'm not sure how it'll be received by the public. (For the record, you can essentially download the emulator and develop for it today, if you're curious.)

Speaking of dreams: So I'm at a theater watching a play, and notice a bearded, tall man up on a private balcony. I think to myself, "Hey, neat, Abe Lincoln!" and return to my beer as though there is nothing unusual about this. It is at this moment that someone busts in the door waving a pistol. I suddenly notice that despite my fairly lucid state, there is an enormous pile of empty beer bottles surrounding me, and I know what I must do. I shout, "ABE! GET DOWN!" and from the protection of my seat, begin hurling my empty beer bottles at the man. After a brief battle in which I land many direct, long range bottle tosses squarely on this man's head, he finally he leaves in defeat, out of bullets and limping slightly from various shattered beer bottle related injuries. I have saved Abe Lincoln's life.

Anyone care to interpret?

Abe Lincoln's height represents the airtime on Intimidator and the bottle blows to the head represent a ride Intimidator 305.

The rest of it is most likely some Freudian phallic thing.

Clearly, it was a coaster dream directly related to the topic at hand...and penises. :)

...and who doesn't love penises? :)

Well, they do say the penis mightier than the sword....

That's what makes me curious. I find my Zune HD interface to be one of the most user-friendly and easy to use out there, and while not identical, WM7 appears to be very similar. The thing with the Zune is, you either love it or you hate it, or so I'm starting to see.

I'm all PC for the most part, and I work in a completely PC (save for the iphone support) environment, but Apples does make some really cool devices (and computers).

I guess that shows my inability to commit to one side or the other. :)

Android FTW. :)

I second the Android support.

Droid Does.

Android feels very me-too, and I'm not impressed with any of the hardware yet. That is has no real music ecosystem is also a negative.

I'm in no hurry to get a Win7 phone once they're out, because my AT&T contract has another year or so. I'm also pretty tied into the iTunes ecosystem, not for the DRM, but for the general dispersion of music to my iPod, iPhone and AppleTV. We'll see what happens when the new shiny starts appearing around campus.

Can we make fun of you for the creepy avatar?

Only if I get the prize for the creepiest here. It was part of a funhouse at the Del Mar Fair in San Diego. It rides a stationary unicyle and kind of flops about. It gave me nightmares, so I thought I'd share. :)

And yes, VT's original reply was more concise than what I offered. It just didn't seem clear to the original poster.

To me, the lack of a music ecosystem on Android results in a far less cumbersome experience than using iTunes for anything. For a company that does many, many things incredibly well, iTunes is atrocious (on Windows anyway).

So how bout that Gizmodo new iPhone leak.. Real, or staged marketing??

I just have a hard time knowing Jobs loving to be the one to release new things, that they would change their "release" M.O.

Tekwardo's avatar

I don't care if it was real or staged, I don't like how Gizmodo handled it myself.

Having said that, I don't like that they completely changed the form factor. I knew it was coming eventually. I'm not happy that none of my accessories will work with the new one (I've got dozens of covers and just picked up a new dock).

But come July I'll be out of my contract and will most likely re-up with a new (hopefully) 64Gb iPhone 4 with iPhone OS 4.0 so that I can listen to XM on my SkyDock AND use CoPilot at the same time.
