Which Disney Vacation?

During the Summer, we always take a trip a Disney World. We've gone there every year since like 1993. Well this year, WDW isn't getting anything new, so we think we might want to go to DisneyLand instead. We've never been there. Look at the two choices below and see what you would pick:

Florida Vacation-
1)Magic Kingdom(love everything-4th fave park)
Epcot(love Test Track)
Disney Studios(can't miss RnRC or TZToT)
Animal Kingdom(fun)
Universal Studios(doesn't do much for me)
Islands of Adventure(Fave Park-DD and Hulk)
Sea World(never been)
and maybe BGT(never been)

California Vacation:(never been)
2)Disneyland
Disney's California Adventure
Six Flags Magic Mountain(X,Goliath)
Knott's Berry Farm(GhostRider)

So 8 parks to 4. I'll also be going to PKI,CP,and SFO. What I'm thinking is those coasters would cancel out those at SFMM, so I wouldn't have make the possibly disappointing trip to CA. I'm leaning way towards FL. Can you help me? Thanks in advance.
COME TO FLORIDA!!! If for nothing else for Kraken at Sea World, and ride it and over and over and over and...

I'd Rather Be Riding Rollercoasters
If you are going for Disney atmosphere, continue to go to WDW.

If you are going for coasters, and want to ride more new coasters, skip WDW for the year, and hit Cali.

Don't forget if you go to Orlando, you can hit Universal, IOA, Sea World, and BGT.
I have heard bad things about Disneyland, especially if you have already been to Disneyworld. Though I personally, have never been to disneyland.

All time Top 5: (1) Milleniun Force (2) Alpengeist (3) Hulk (4) Ice Dragon (5) Raptor
What I love best about WDW is the atmosphere. For a fun time, I would rather miss the coasters for the best experience. Does anyone know how long it takes from WDW to BGT? That's a questionable place to go because of time. And i don't know how great their coasters and such are.

I totally agree. Kraken is incredible, and definately worth the trip. I just got back from florida about 5 days ago. Every line was walkon, and rerides on Kraken. I rode 11 times without getting off in the back. BUT Kraken isn't the only good thing in FL. IF you go to the Orlando area, you HAVE to take the hour drive to Tampa and visit BGT. Montu, Kumba, and Gwazi are all incredible.

Snow, SFNE, SROS, and the Martian hop - what could be better?
...and 9 seconds later, my question was answered. Isn't that great! ;) Thanks rOLLercOASt.

What kinds of coasters are at BGT? Can't make a guess by the names.

Anything else thrilling or must-see at SW? *** This post was edited by Bcdzoom on 1/15/2001. ***
The trip from Disney to BGT is about 70 miles or 1 hour. BGT has shuttles that come through the area everyday and pick people up.

Thanks JeremyG. I've seen that. I guess i just meant how does everyone like them.

By default, I am going with the Florida trip as I will be doing mosy of it with a family friend who is willing to pay for much of it.:)

Everybody calm down, the coasters do not open for another fifteen minutes.
Kumba is fun, Montu is great, Scorpion is good, Phython sucks. Plus Rhino rally is coming to BGT this spring.

Forgot Gwazi! Gwazi is also pretty good.

Well, I haven't been to Disneyland or Knotts Berry Farm since I was about 4 years old, so I would pick California. I was just at Disney World last year, and as you said, they aren't really getting much new for this summer.

Plus, I would like to see California Adventure (it looks like a neat park to me) and I would love to make a trip to Magic Mountain (especially to try out X).

I envy your opportunity to go to either one of these parks. It will be quite awhile before I make it to either one again.
Am I the only one that makes a yearly WDW trip? I can't get enough of the place with IOA down the street.
I'd have to agree with everyone else. Florida is the way to go. We go to Florida every year (last being the exception because of new baby.) Got to IOA this year and was most definately pleased. BGT is great too only being an hour away.

Thank you for riding America's Roller Coast
Looks like it will be WDW again. I'll wait to go to DL when they get something that makes me really want to go. CP,PKI,IOA,BGT and SFO will definitely be better than SFMM and KBF anyway. Plus, at WDW, you know you're on vacation the entire time. Their resorts and water parks are a reason to travel that far by themselves.
Jeez... I'm REALLY in the minority here (not unusual :)). Anyway, I think that DisneyLAND is a way better park than WDW-MK. And DCA looks like it will be on par with IOA. Add to that, that GhostRider is supposed to be such an awesome woodie (I prefer woodies) along with X and the other 14 coasters at SFMM that you have never ridden, I would have to say go to Cali.

If you've already been to Florida several times I would go to CA, but I hope you are qutie wealthy because that will be an expensive trip.
