Which Defunct or SBNO you wanted to ride?

I would want to ride Avalanche Run at CP before they covered it and made it Disaster Transport. I also want to ride the Jumbo Jet at CP.

Does anyone have pictures of The Bat? I have heard so much about it but can't find any pictures of it. If you know where some pics are at, could you post a link? Thanks

Badnitrus has a rendering of it. That will atleast give you a good idea of it.

Ohhh yeah. I forgot about the Rye Airplane Coaster. That's one of the more important ones on my list. Come on PKI, put those blueprints to work. Just imagine a CCI Airplane coaster. It's got such a cool layout.

It's scary to know that I've ridden two of the most mentioned. Guess I'm gettign old. I did really love the Bat, but you guys must be into pain if you wan to ride Drachen Fire. I guess my choice would be the Crystal Beach Cyclone.
Everyone who mentioned the Lincoln Park Comet, remember that Little A-Merrick-A is still asking for money (good for ERT of the whole park for two days) to help save it. They have not received one dime of enthusiast support.

I'd wager that half the people here that want to ride it would be calling for it to be torn down if it were still open.

If the shoe fits, find another one.

I would have liked to ride Mr.Twister, the TX State Fair Comet, and (for what it's worth) Big Bend & SFoT.
The Jantzen Beach Big Dipper in Portland ,Oregon.I saw this coaster as a child, but never got to ride it.This coaster was designed by Carl Phare, who also designed the Vancouver Playland Coaster.I just rode the PNE Coaster last weekend with Nasai.I can only imagine the ride the Big Dipper gave.

I can fix anything.....where is the duct tape?

Z-Force, or now Flasback, I wish I could have rode it at SFGAm before it was moved to SFMM. :(

I would have liked to have ridden Avalanche Run before it wa turned int DT.

I also wish I could ride the first coaster I ever rode, the one that scared me to death, because now it wouldn't scare me at all. Don't remember the name of it, just the park: Walled Lake Amusement park.

Chris K., remember, the ride did a detour through Atlanta before moving on to LA...

I'd have to say all those wild and woolly woodies of the first golden age. Of the coasters I've actually seen SBNO, the CI T-Bolt is probably the one I'd most like to have ridden in its prime, whereas it sounds like a spin on DF and WJ would've simply been "for the count".

It was called the Flying Dragon

I used to live in Walled Lake, but unfortunately, there isn't much in the way of histortical markers or even stuff at the library. I did, however, find this on the web...

I would like to ride the Python again at SFA. What do yall think they will do with the ride, since they seem to want to hold on to it.

King Cobra at PKD....as far as i know, the first Swartzkopf shuttle loop in the USA i remember watching it as a young kid...everytime we rode Mt Kilimenjaro(for you old school KD fans), wed always get off and watch the train on KC tear through the loop. man, i miss that.....it was removed after the 1984 season i think...or '85...but i would still have loved the chance also the Steel Phantom at Kennywood....

Tim (who is proud to be of what seems to be an ironic few who got to experience Drachen Fire before AND after the removal of the spine ripping first corkscrew...and has lived to tell the frightful tale :))

OMG!!! I finally found someone who remembers the name of that coaster!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! It was 1962 when I first rode it. Neither my parents nor uncles could remember the name of it, even tho Walled Lake was a favorite "date" spot for them. Now I can finally add that coaster to my track record.

How about it Jeff? Can we get the Flying Dragon from Walled Lake Amusement Park added to the parks and coasters so I can update my track record?

I totally agree. Before the removal everyone was bashing the ride.. I was lucky enough to ride and feel the pain (with and without the corkscrew). If I had to choose, I'd say the Crystal Beach Cyclone, or the Moonsault Scramble.

vacoasterfreak, yes I did get to ride KC, my first inversion was (thankfully) an Anton shuttle loop...I remember Mt. Kilimanjaro too, although it makes my head spin to think of that ride.

Steel Phantom was great, but from all reports is even better....(they kept the parts I liked best, those first two awesome drops)...hooray for Henninger (sp?)...

The bat, Rattler (1st season) and many more that I can't think of at the moment.

Also I wish i could ride Chaos at Opryland again. Or ride it's first season. Heck I wish Opryland was still around I loved that park.

On my second and last visit to Opryland that day I realized that I was really....really hooked. That was because I took 33 rides on Chaos...and many more on their other coasters.

I got a chance to ride Drachen Fire but I would have liked to ride that a few more times,

but I think I would say The Bat at PKI
