Where's all the fright gone?

The other day I was riding The Beast and for some reason I wasn't scared at all. I think after a while you just kind of get bored with a coaster. But on rides like MF I get tense and a little shaky I wonder why? Does any one else not get as much thrill from a coaster you've ridden a lot or is it just me?

You can't run and you can't hide...The Beast at PKI
You were bored on the Beast because the coaster sucks! Just kidding. I still get great thrills from all of my favorite rides, not from terror, from the thrill!

Shivering Timbers- for the love of Michigan's Adventure, just ride it.
At the top of goliath, I get a little tense. But after that, its all thrill.
I'm nervous to ride V2 because of the anticipation of the launch!:)

AKA V2 at CCN! AKA SFMWManiac at SFMWOnline!

I think the fright goes way in time. You know what the coaster will do so you aren't really afraid. There is a small degree of nervousness but thats about it. I know I get REALLY nervous before riding Power Tower turbo drop.

You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.
Any launching coaster always is scary because you don't know when its gonna go. That what makes them so cool.

The freakiest ride like that would be space shot PT at CP. It moves up and down a few times and then moves up a tiney bit, and..., voom you're gone.

If Millennium Force doesn't go upside-down, then how could Mantis?
On every new ride I go on I am not so much scared, but nervous. It the unknown that scares us all, and since we don't know what to expect on new rides, it scares us. Some rides still scare me like Power Tower and MF makes me a little nervous.

After the fear is gone it's mostly the feeling of riding that I love so much and brings me back to it.
