Where your home park lags behind, it makes up

Is your homepark kind of "boring" or "obsolete" in some way, but make up in another?

At SFGAdv, the park has soooo many coasters with lots of headbanging. But, when these are open, people love them so it lessens the lines on some of the bigger rides. Also, we have some of the coolest flat rides around (evolution, pendolumn).

Also, the park has Crappy water rides, and even if you want to ride them, the lines are outrageous. But, We make up for that by having 3 B&M's!!(batman, medusa, nitro)
Michigan's Adventure is missing in general improvements, namely, trees, benches, and food, but it makes up with the greatest wooden coaster around, Shivering Timbers.

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
Hmm...
uhh...
er...
Lemme see...

Oh I got it...

For Six Flags Darien Lake, it really is just an "average" park overall, however... as a camping experience, it goes unscathed! A 2000 site campground (both tent & RV, both shaded & sunny) and a hotel right on-site overlooking the lake which overlooks the park makes for one great weekend roughing it.
Knotts is lacking a large collection of major coasters. It makes up for that in the fact that it provides one of the most unique experiences you will find in a park.

Perilous Plunge-one of a kind
Ghostrider-The great woodie of america
Timber mountain log ride- the most utterly enjoyable log ride out there
Great theming
Supreme Scream- if there is going to be a clone ride at you park why have the biggest and baddest around
Mystery Lodge- Unlike any show ive ever seen
Kings Dominion is does not have the best flat rides, but Hypersonic and Volcano make up for that.
Home Park = Hersheypark.

In the coaster department they are fine (wouldn't mind seeing a new steel coaster on the lines of Kraken, but I am not complaining with three great wood coasters). In the flat ride department I would like to see a little more THRILL type rides.

"Resistance is futile... you will be assimilated." The BORG's (and Six Flags') motto.
Home park is Silver Dollar City and they are on the right track with ThuNderaTion, Buzzsaw Falls and Wildfire but I wood (pun intended) like to see them get a nice CCI. Something Raven-esque or Tremors-ish.

Home park = Castles-n-Coasters (Phoenix, AZ)

My Wish List:
------------
1. Intamin mega coaster
2. Hopkins chute-the-chutes
3. A 4-tower S&S Turbo Drop
4. A Speedy-Gonzales-themed Wild Mouse
5. A CCI wooden twister

Hey, I can dream, can't I?? :)
My home park is SFGAm and it has a really diverse selection of rides. (Standup, Inverted, Shuttle, Wooden, Hyper Twister,)The thing it could imrpove on is the flat rides, cleanliness of bathrooms and such, and deal with crowds better. Other than that its a great park. (Very unde compared to SFMM and CP)
This isn't my home park, but...

CP lacks a great wooden coaster. Mean Streak and Blue Streak are't that bad, but they're not great. But it gains from a collection of great coasters, frendly service, and lots of shade.

Let the bears pay the Bear Tax, I pay the Homer Tax.
I agree with nosk8er. Knotts lacks in the collection of coasters, but what it has rocks!

MY sort of home park, but to far to be my home park, is Indiana beach. They do lack in the steel coaster selections but they have one of the best parks I have ever seen. I love the whole lake setting and they have two of the best and coolest looking woodies around. The hoosier hurricane and the cornball express are like twisted sisters. Also there two compaq steel coasters are rather cool to. I also think they have some really cool flat rides and a great waterpark. Over all the park needs to get a cool steel air coaster in the near future , which I think It will do, but it is hard to ask for a better park.
Hmmm... let's see... how does Astroworld make up for how incredibly LAME it is? Oh yeah, I know! It sends all its money to Magic Mountain so they can get a record breaking new coaster every year! And this year, they've pulled out all the stops! Now we're paying for Magic Mountain to get THREE new coasters, and a rumored S&S tower! WOO-HOO!

True of all great coasters of the past and present, and future
it's a ride you'll remember for the rest of your lifeand probably will want to ride again.
I live in Oklahoma City and our home park is "Frontier City". It's a pretty crappy park with really no redeeming qualities. The saddest part is that Six Flags is based here and most of their home offices are actually located in the park.
I live here in Memphis, TN. My home park is Libertyland, home to the Zippin Pippin wood John Miller coaster and the Revolution, an Arrow loop-double corkscrew coaster. The coaster selection really sucks, but it makes up for it by having some of the best shade a park could ever have. Just having a John Miller coaster is great, I could ride any of his creations all day long! Zippin Pippin is also the oldest operating coaster in North America, 2nd in the world.
