steelphantom, you're incorrect. Oblivion and G5 are vertical roller coasters, while multiple others have vertical (and beyond vertical) drops.

G5 at Janfusun Fancyworld is another B&M vertical drop coaster, and it's an exact clone of Oblivion (although RCDB claims that G5 has an 89 degree drop while Oblivion's is only 87). So technically, they aren't truly vertical. The only other coaster similar in style to the B&Ms is Shaft of Terror at Gold Reef City, and that does have a 90 degree drop. However, there are different types of coasters that have vertical (or near vertical) drops, such as Hypersonic XLC, Xcelerator, Top Thrill Dragster, and X (which has an 88.5 degree drop). And then there's Vild-Svinet, which is the first coaster with a 95 degree drop, as well as Typhoon at Bobbejaanland (also 95 degrees), which will open next year. Hope that clears things up a bit.

Chernabog, you say 'nor the vekoma tilt monstrosity', i am curious why you think the ride is that bad. I have not been it, but i will say it looks like a lot of fun.

Its a new concept, one which i am sure the public enjoy. Granted it might be rough what with vekoma's past reputation, but it is one coaster i would love to try. And if i go to Taiwan one day, i will definately ride it.

I think the begining where they tilt the whole train and track vertically and then just drop the train is insane. A great concept.

Why do you hate it so??

Monstrosity means big or large or gargantuan that CAN be clumsy or not well designed. She said monstrosity, not calamity, disaster, debacle, or clusterf...err.. you get the idea.

Just backing up one of the few girls that bring the knowledge. ;)

Tis a shame, huh Brent? That's why we have to treasure them and love them and hug them and name them George.. (for you abominable snowmen fans out there)

I was not aware that Speed : The Ride's spike was vertical. I figured it was just a steep angle like the Schwartzkopf shuttles. It certainly doesn't look 90 degrees on my POV, but I've been wrong before, and I reserve the right to be wrong again. ;)
