Where do people get there information?

Okay, I have been to a few sites that just bother me. Where do people get this wrong information. Like, Did you know that X at SFMM is the world's smoothest coaster, How would anyone know that? Double Loop was first painted Green, then Black and now purple, nope, white then black now purple. Not to forget that Six Flags Ohio is the biggest park in the world. Has anyone else seen something park/coaster information that is just out there?
Well, this is right from the Six Flags Ohio website ( http://www.sixflags.com/ohio/ ):

"Welcome to the new Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, the world's largest super park!"

Maybe it is a "super park".

Does anyone truly know the definition of a "super park" vs. a theme park, Xtreme thrill park, amusement park, supermarket?

Maybe it's a whole new genre of parks... with camping, themepark, marine park all in one. Can Disney World say that?
"Xtreme Park", where do they get that from?!? ;)

Hey did you guys know that Goliath was Built by intamin and reaches speeds of 100 mph. also did you know The Magnum was built by B&M

From Magic Mountain's offical web site:
Attention Thrill-Seekers Worldwide! THREE COASTERS TO DEBUT IN 2001...Deja Vu, X and Goliath Jr!! TRANSFORMING SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN From Theme Park … To ''NOW the Xtreme Park''!

I guess anything over 14 coasters turns your park into an Xtreme park!
I was just joking; I knew what the "Xtreme Park" was.

I didn't know that Magnum was built by B & M,lol I bet they would love to take the credit of such a awesome era. hehe
The "xtreme park" name was created by marketing people who can't spell. ;)
SFWOA website show's thier very own Villain as a wooden supported coaster. :-P

"Did you know that cedar point is combing MF and magnum into one coaster. They are adding a booster at the top of the first hill to send the coaster over 120 mph and the combined track lenght will somewhere in the neighborhood of 13,000 feet. At two different points the coaster will swith formats: first from hyper to inverted, then from inverted to flying. The inverted cars will also spin on seven different axis. There will two "Jump" points where the coaster will physically separate from the track itself. OTSR will not be required only a simple leather strap like on the Jack Rabbit at kennywood.

This will end all speculation over who is the official record holder. They are also adding 5 other coasters next year to take back the most coaster record from SFMM.

jdancisin, is it only 5? I heard they were adding 6 new ones. Also, news pops up everywhere about the planned 800-ft coaster at the Stratosphere Towers in Las Vegas. Anyone know the latest on this? Have they started development on it yet? :)
From the Great America pass brochure I received today...

1.WARNING: SUPPLIES (passes)ARE LIMITED
No they aren't. They can sell as many passes as they want.

2.INTRODUCING 2 NEW RECORD BREAKING HISTORY MAKING COASTERS (V² & Deja Vu)
What is record breaking about them? Nothing. History making, well that depends on how you interprete history making.

I'll belive that stupid stratosphere rumor when I see it they haven't done anything there since it opened other than having endless construction on a new tower.

Now, if I'm wrong... this will look really dumb in this topic, but I'm 99% sure I'm right. A Chicago newspaper called SFGAm an Xtreme park, also. Maybe you need 11, and need to be in the SF chain. Thats my guess.

All right. Nothing at all is record breaking for V2, it's a SUE clone. But Deja Vu is the record breaker for tallest and fastest inverted shuttle, well, co-record breaker, since there are 3.
