Where Did It Go ?

I might be forgetful but wasnt fantasy Island having a new coaster this year kind of a half pipe coaster from intamin I think not sure but the ride was featured by rcdb. With pics and all but now gone completely no records of it being there or the park planning it. is it me or does anyone else Remenber it?

yea, they were installing an arrow or vekoma hammerhead stall- forgot the maker. But i think they cancelled it or put it back a year because of the locals complaining and because i think they didn't have the money or sometihng

The Vekoma Hammerhead Stall was rumoured to go to Fantasy Island, but itnever happened (and I doubt it ever will). The ride uses the same technology as the GIBs. But on the Hammerhead the technique would have to work even more efficient and faster since the vehicles have to connect to the catch-mechanism every few seconds.

Without bashing Vekoma, but this ride seems to scream "downtime" across the baltic sea. Vekoma tried so hard to sell this thing, I would guess they would have to give it away for free to get it on the market.

Meanwhile our nasty friends from Intamin have taken the concept, changed it around, added lims and a funkier design, sold and built one at Särkänniemi Park in Finland.
