WRONGO! They have a Roll-O-Plane. A Loop-O-pLane is essentially a smaller version of Kamikazi or Skymaster. Using a double boom on a single vertical support and the same tubs as the Roll-O, both booms rotate against each other creating one of the most intense 360 rides out there. Aero 360? Please! Thats nothing!
Eyerly is now called Origon rides inc. Eyerly or (ORI) make the spider, monster and the Rock-o-plane
I had talked with a mainteneince fella and he was telling me of how they want a new Skywheel and a Sea Dragon. I agree that the Sea Dragon would be good but to forget about the Skywheel... since they are not made anymore, parts can be too expensive.
It would be nice if they could buy a used steel Zyklon-like coaster
And they said in a news report that thay needed 50,000 people to visit this year to stay aloat (and CP gets that in a few days). Assuming each person pays $25 on their visit, that makes $1,250,000/Year. Then add in expenses and there isn't much left over. Someone should concession a small coaster to Conneaut to at least get the people in the park. Then people would ride the other rides. I never understood why a park would sell it's rides especially during money problems because it would be almost impossible to get the ride back, especially if it's making money. What ever happened to Conneaut's wild mouse coaster? and where was it located?

I was told that their Wild Mouse was bought by someone and its in pieces somewhere in Ashtabula. The good news is, hopefully look for a Wild Mouse return in '03( I hope I hope I hope)!
I have a lot more information about the Wild Mouse. If you would like to know more, please don't be afraid to email or IM me and I'll gladly share what I know as of now.

Does anyone else thing this will help the park, or will it just increase the maintence bills?

Since there are people who actually live in the area, can anyone tell me if I am right with my assumptions?
Well Rob, Six Flags and Kennywood are the big parks around here. It sometimes seems like Jess and I are the only people from this place who have ever heard of Cedar Point even. If CLP found a way to reach the public, they would do a lot more business. That's the way SFWoA won over this area. Conneaut has more of a "word of mouth" attitude, which works okay, but just isn't getting people on the rides. Around here, Conneaut is almost like a day trip.
I think the one word to sum up all of their problems would be money, or lack there of. If someone who had the money bought the park and really did a lot with it, the business potential would be very high. It's a neat little park. A small slice of history only a few miles away. I think I and most people around here (especially Jess;)) would be very upset to see anything go horribly wrong.

Well since the book is out of print, looks like I'll have to get my little brother to actually utilize the school library and try to find the book for me...
Try some of the used book services on the web such as abebooks, alibris, or bookfinder. You can find all but the rarest of books this way.
Last time I searched for a book, they wanted $50 for it...

CLP has a lot to offer. I have never had an encounter with a rude employee (except for the overly aggressive games people near Ultimate Trip... they give some of the carnies a run for their money!), the atmosphere is great, their french fries are better than Cedar Point's (which I'm sure will be seen as sacrilege by many) and while the place could use some sprucing up, it is one of my favorite summer hangouts.
The current ride list (as of 2001) is as follows for those who have never been there: Flying Scooters, Eli Ferris Wheel, Tilt-A-Whirl, Paratrooper, Bessemer Railroad, Blue Streak, Tumble Bug, Musik Express (which MAY be the old Supercat from SFWoA), Carousel, Tempest, Dodgem, YoYo, Roll-O-Plane, Devil's Den dark ride, Twister (by Chance... has a lot of downtime), Trabant, Round-Up, Sky Thriller (Ranger), and the ever-awesome Ultimate Trip enclosed Scrambler. There are also a handful of kid's rides, a pair of water flume slides, and a lazy river. For the admission prices they charge, it's a great deal. I HIGHLY recommend a visit to this great park. We need to support it any way we can.

CLP does NOT charge admission, that is free. You are only charged for rides, so if a parent is taking their child there, they are only going to pay about $7 (for a ride all day wristband, otherwise you can purchase tickets) if they don't want to get wet that day, and if the parent isn't going to ride anything (but who can pass up a ride on the Tumble Bug or the Carousel?) I'm not sure who could spend a whole day there.. I'm able to ride everything twice or more (at least 5 on Blue Streak), grab some food, and play a few games all within two hours. They also claim to have over *80* rides/slides/attractions (I'm still trying to get to 80) and I'm wondering where all these come from.
Enlighten me!

I'm still wondering why SFWoA charged extra for their haunted house in their "world class thrillpark, waterpark, and sealife park"
