Where are the remaining Wacky Shacks?

There is one at Lakemont Park. In fact, there is at least 1 that you ride through and 1 that you walk through. Also when there you can ride Leap the Dips... They arent open everyday, but when they are it is SOOOOOOO CHEAP to ride all day. Last year on Wednesdays it was $1 admission and $1 all day ride.

Did anyone ever see a picture of the Wacky Shack at Waldameer in the 70's? Well, I have. It seems the drop outside the ride was steeper and today it looks as if it has been raised up. I wonder why? *** Edited 4/15/2006 10:01:13 PM UTC by AJFelice***

AJF, where did you see this picture...?

If I'm not mistaken, the drop was raised due to vallying, and the electrical current wasnt powerful enough to pull the cars up the steeper incline, but I'm not sure.

Joyland has one as well.
This is just my guess, but I'd bet Waldameer's drop was reprofiled when the vehicles were changed. The original cars were probably Pretzel cars which are quite heavy and could roll down and back up the steeper hill, like Conneaut's and Camdens do. The newer fiberglass cars (hushpuppies?) are lighter. I can't remember from my trip to Waldameer if these cars make the hill on their own or if they power back up. At any rate, the ride is fabulous, as is the Pirate's Cove walk-thru. We went on them both over and over again.
