To view the length of individual track segments select any one track segment and its length will be displayed in the upper right hand corner of the editor window. This can be covered over if you have your tool paletes setup in a certain way, so if you don't see it just mess with your tool paletes a bit to reveal the numbers.
As for height. The relative hieght of each element can be seen in the elevation graph in the Statistics window. However to know the actual height of each element you're just going to have to go into Side View, point your cursor to the area you want to sample, and read the XYZ values in the top left corner of the editor. These values are given in feet or meters, whichever measurment you have chosen in preferences.
