When will Universal Expand its Hollywood park.
Do yo think they will take some of the land they already own and do what they did in orlando, or do something totally different. As long as they put a few good coasters there i will be there no matter if they do what they did in orlando, or something new.

The situation in CA is different than in Florida. There are several housing developments within earshot of USH. There have been problems, with management having to carefully monitor db levels at the ampitheater. IMO any coaster would meet considerable opposition.

We really need a coaster or something spectacular over here at USH. It is very expensive to get in and they only have 5-6 rides and like 5 shows. They should take out half of the lower area past JP. The shows down there are stupid. I think JP and Terminator 2: 3-D are USH's best additions.

Yah...they actually petitioned to expand the park around the same time they were building IoA. They lost out to the neighborhood...which was built after the studios. Oh well. It's not like Socal is lacking in coasters. But a few more would have been nice. :)

When it comes to coasters, it's never enough!!!
Besides, if it wasn't for USH, IOA and USF would never exist! Which park actually deserves the coasters and major additions? With so few rides, USH is just a 1/2 day park. If they want to change that, USH really needs to offer more rides and attractions to keep peps in the park longer.

I am not from ca. but i go there every summer (for disneyland) and i think they need more "exciting attractions" such as M.I.B, Spiderman, and of course Dueling dragons!

I believe USH does not have to expand. They have alot of land to work with. Maybe you could take out some old studio buildings and add a ride or two. I think USH should build a Spiderman or Men in Black. You know, they could take out Backdraft. Personally, I hate Backdraft. You could a new JP type ride. I dont know.
The land is very hilly and they are constricted to the upper and lower lots. The upper lot is maxed out and if they want to expand the lower lot, then they will have to tear down studios. Right now USH earns petty cash for the Universal Studios company. The park is a few hundred million operation. Where as the Studio is a multi-billion dollar operation. I doubt they are going to tear out studios for a coaster, but that would make us all happy.
