KD I know just turned hurler into twisted timbers this past summer so it really wasn’t a new coaster completely from scratch but when do you think KD will add its next new roller coaster by building it an entire new space of land at the park? What kind of roller coaster should KD have next? A flyer? Inverted coaster like Banshee at Kings Island? I know BGW will be adding a coaster I see actually in 2020 but I don’t think the plans have been revealed as to what it will be.
I heard that King's Dominion is going to use parts from the old Shockwave coaster at SFGAm. (the first loop and the boomerang) and put them together with some new pieces and call it Shock. BGW is going to use the other parts (the second pair of loops and the corkscrews) and some new pieces to create a coaster called Wave. Both will open in 2020.

I think people get caught up in RMCed rides "not being new" need to remove themselves from the bubble a tad. The costs associated with the conversions are not insignificant and the output is a ride almost unrecognisable from that which it replaced.
Nothing to see here. Move along.

Agreed! I roll my eyes anytime I hear an RMC conversion referred to as just a "renovation" of a ride. No, its not a renovation. It basically is an entirely new coaster.
Racer 75 - now that's a renovation (and a very good one at that, so I've heard). Twisted Timbers on the other hand - completely new experience.
That's not what the Dippin' Dots guy told me.

KD rumored to get a B&M wing coaster by 2021. More about it here:
