When Stealth Is Moving

Can someone please tell me when they are moving stealth, because I was hoping to go on it this spring break in California (so then I can say I have been on all flyers that exist on this earth - yeah) and if it goes to Canada before March 21st, I won't get to ride it. So again, if anyone knows when they are going to start dismanteling Stealth, that would be great if they could post it.
Actually Stealth is moving to Carowinds in N. Carolina for the 04 season. I have no idea when it's moving, but I can guess it will be long gone by your spring break. Sorry man.

I believe Stealth closed as of today (Labor Day), so you are out of luck to ride it at PGA.

Stealth is being relocated to Paramounts Carowinds. Its not going to Canada.

Arena football has arrived in the Windy City. Go "Chicago Rush"

For some reason, I always get Canada's Wonderland and Carowinds messed up - I have no idea why. Well that really sucks. Oh well, I guess I will have to be making a trip to the ever popular North Caroline! (said sarcastically) Oh well, at least I got to go on Batwing. Thanks!
Today was its last day. Sad. :(

I got 8 "goodbye" rides on it, and boy will I miss that coaster.

As already noted, the moving begins today.

The location looks like it is really going to add a lot to the ride. Park management is adamant about increasing throughput...looking forward to it!

And to think that SFGAm's Shockwave, Kennywood's Steel Phantom and even BGW's Drachen Fire all had longer lives at their respective parks than Stealth at PGA!

I was told I had only one word to describe Deja Vu.
Here it is:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

Hey coasterMNguy what's with the scarcasm about NC? Carowinds is located in the second fastest growing city in the US. I'd say that makes it pretty popular. Not to mention that Charlotte and Carowinds is located right in the middle of the Carolina's (NC/SC state line), three hours from the beach and two hours from the mountains.

As far as it's removal from PGA, not sure but I do know that the prep work at PC has already started for it's arrival.

Closed already? Damn... I'm going in October. I guess I'll have to settle for my one and only ride in 2000.

This still seems like the lamest coaster relocation ever, to me. I guess they have their reasons, however.

SCREAM with me... in 2003!

I think the new location at PC will make the ride a lot more exciting than it was at PGA. If you haven't seen the layout , it will fly over the midways and the water and it may include geysers/fountains.
LocoDriver, although I do realize that Carowinds is in one of the fastest growing cities in the US, I live in the biggest and one of the most affluent areas in the midwest behind Chicago. I just don't think that my parents would be so willing to take a trip to North Carolina, unless they had a reason to. When I made that statement, I had no idea of NC's status, but I still don't think I would make the trip just for Carowinds, I would need a city like NY, Chicago, Miami, or some LARGE city like that. I am again not denying that Charlotte is a large city, because I have no idea how big charlotte is. That was the only intent of that comment. Sorry :(
MN-Charlotte is pretty darn big(it has 3 pro teams, Concord Mills, and is the unofficial HQ of Nascar(most of the teams are based there)), but it's better to visit in combination with other things. My family stops by there every other year after going to Myrtle Beach, SC(about 3 hours away). We'll probably go next year as we didn't this year, I'd like to give Stealth a whirl and compare it to Batwing/X-Flight.

They're changing the name for PC right? Anyone know what it's going to be?

"You're afraid of heights, but you love roller coasters...yep, you're weird alright."
A friend's response to my constant yelling at the top of Power Tower. And I'll ride it again and again...:)

I read somewhere that Stealth is gonna be replaced with i think they said a hyper along with that waterpark or whatever. That would be a huge investment to have in one year! I doubt it will happen this year.

Can i poop here?

^ It's not happening this year. Great America has already announced their plans, and they are building Boomerang Bay waterpark. Thunderstorm, yes they are changing the name and adding a theme, but they still haven't released what it is yet.

Well if their surveys were any indication, it seems like they are in love with the Star Trek theme! Maybe they'll name the one going into Canada that, too. :)

You suck big time.

The ride should be out of PGA within eight weeks is what Ive been told, so you will see the last reminants of it in October. They have already started electrical work and such getting it ready to move.

KNOW? Sure, there *must* be a few peeps who already know the new name/theme...personally, I think PCar is passing up a *really great* idea for theming if they fail to involve Kitty Hawk and the Wright Bros....then again, Paramount almost never listens to me...;)

Danny, would you tell them it was YOUR idea, maybe we'll have better luck that way....:)

Kittyhawk would kind of be a cool name for the relocated Stealth, but then again that sounds more like a junior flyer coaster name to me. I think it's a good idea if they can tie it in to the Wright Bros. though.
