When Six Flags Buys Marine World will they...

When Six Flags buys the park from Vallejo will they change the name? I was just wondering if it's a possibility.

If SFMW isn't already owned by Six Flags then how can they put their company name into the park's name?

Shouldn't you know that it's a Six Flags park? I mean, your sn on here is SFMWManiac87, I thought you had the acronym for Six Flags Marine World right in it!

I know but right now the city owns the actual park and Six Flags maintains it. Next year Six Flags will purchase the actual park from the city.

Actually, V2 is yellow and blue. I really hate that SF does that on their site and in their commercials. They substitute other rides they have at other parks in their commercials. It's just a cost saving measure, but to me it's a little like false advertising. What do I know though, right? ;) Anyways, Six Flags leases the land from the City of Vallejo. They are supposed to buy the park from the city next year I think. Might be the year after. I don't think they would change the name though, it already has the Six Flags moniker. :)

Seems they already spent the money for the name change. Why would they spend a whole 'nother bundle to change it to something else? Besides, "Marine World" has been impressed on a couple generations of bay area-ites already. If you change it, folks will say "what??" Kinda like when they tried to change the name of Candlestick Park.

I really don't see them changing the park name... After all, why would they? Changing a name complete would require a lot of unnecessary sign changes.

Who adds the coasters? The city or Six Flags.
