When should I visit CP in June?

Hi! I'm new here and live in northeast AL. I went to SFOG Friday and loved it. Superman is da bomb!

Anyways, I would love to visit CP this June. What days have the shortest lines? Are the area schools still going in early June? What hotels nearby are cheap? Thanks!

Main reason I'm going is to ride TTD.

I'm not even going to comment on the lines... someone else can do that.

Here's something I've noticed... a lot of people think there will be bigger crowds when kids are out of school, but this isn't always the case. Tons of schools take their end of the year trips around this time, and into June. So regardless of whether kids are "in school" or not, they're still going to be there. And every singe city, township, and suburb gets out of school at different times. Some are already out, and some don't get out until mid-June.

Google and Travelocity will churn up tons of cheap hotels and motels in the area, try a search there and you will be sure to find something.

I'll answer your question about the lines:

The queue forecast for Monday, June 23 (the best day to visit the park this year) clearly states that at 10:00 AM, the line for Top Thrill Dragster will be 2 hours, 17 minutes, and 42 seconds. That time would be best to ride Wicked Twister, because the line will only be 8 minutes and 12 seconds at that time. The problem is 52 people will be entering from the Beach entrance so by 10:06 the line will have reached 27 minutes.

The best thing to do would be to go through the Marina entrance, because Millennium Force will begin testing around 8:37 that morning so if you get to the gate by 9:00, you will only have to wait behind 3 other people.

The main entrance will be backed up behind the ticket booth from 8:42 until 9:54. If you plan on entering through the main gate get there before 7:48 because the first person will be arriving at 7:51.

So basically, use the Marina entrance.

When the park opens, run to Millennium Force, because the employees will just have finished testing it and no one will be in line, except for Howard Tracy. Tell him you've never been on the ride and really really want to sit in the front row. He'll let you in and you'll be able to sit in the front row.

Unfortunately, by the time you get to the station the ride will have broken down due to a rollback going up the second hill. Because of this, you should go ride Iron Dragon because it will just be opening at 9:06.

After Iron Dragon, head to the back of the park, because the line for Meanstreak will only be 4 and a half minutes and it will be running brakeless. Don't get in line because the person in front of you will puke and they will have to clean the seats.

At 10:26 the Mine Ride will open, so ride that.

After that, it will be 10:38 and you should head over to Gemini. It's only going to be running the red train so skip it. Magnum won't open until 11:32 because of the ride op not waking up in time.

Anyway, at around 3:49, head over to Dragster. The line will have died down because at that point most people will have already ridden it. Once you get in line though, there will be a rollback and you will have to wait an extra 7 minutes for them to fix it.

Get out of line and leave the park.

here's the plan: We leave Thursday afternoon after my brother gets out of his community college class. We arrive in the Sandusky area early morning or break of dawn depending on when we leave. Then we would check into a hotel, get a few hours of nappy time, take a hot and awakening shower, and go get our two day passes to Cedar Point. We would take it leisurely, because we have two days and whatever we didn't do Friday we could do Saturday.Question: Do we need to run at the rope drop? Then we would head back to AL Sunday. Does the plan sound good? Is two days a good idea? Thanks! This trip will be my first time to ride a hyper-coaster, much less a giga or strata.

I'm going to Cedar Point June 16th and the 17th. Does anybody think the lines will be over 2 hours for TTD? I'm pretty sure that it will be, but I really really dont want to wait that long. I really dont feel like waiting over 2 hours for anything!

The future is in the hands of Cedar Point!

and while you are predicting how long lines will be in the future, can you tell me when my cat is going to die?
I can tell you, but you don't want to know. ;)

Well of course you'd let it out, you're Captain Obvious!
