When is X Reopening??

Our family is going on a trip to California from July 10-25. We're going to fit in a trip to Knotts and Magic Mountain through it and I was just wondering what's the deal with X. I recently heard that it was now closed for some reason. I'm hoping that it will be open by around July 20th. If you could tell me what's happening with this ride then that'd be great. About Knotts, I heard that Xcelerator will be opening June 20th. I just wanted to confirm that too. I will be very mad if I don't get the opportunity to ride these 2 coasters on this trip.

Also, I want to know what kind of lines we will have to wait in out it Cali. I heard that Perilous Plunges line was like 4 hours because of the 4 point harnesses they added. I also heard that the X line could be up to around 7-8 hours. That's just insane and I hope that isn't true. Thanks for all your help.

Contrary to what some have been saying, X is not closed. It was open the full weekend before Stark Raven Mad, and has been open last weekend also. (as confirmed by rides from both me and some of my friends).

They are only running one train, and tend to open the ride up a bit later than the rest of the park (seems like around 11:00 is not unusual), but it most definately has been open.

Sometimes it's up. Sometimes it's down.
But with God, life is one thrill ride that you'll never regret being on.

X is now closed. Click here: http://club.coasterbuzz.com/forums/thread.asp?ForumID=11&TopicID=21814

Six Flags has taken it off of the website.

Depending on when you visit Knott's, Perilous Plunge queue waits will range from anywhere between 45 minutes to 3 hours. This is all based on what I saw at the park just three days ago, along with factoring in the ignition of the Southern California summer tourist season.

Thanks for the help. I dont really get what's going on with X and wish that there was a confirmation on something. I hope those lines won't get too long in the cali heat. I can barely stand how hot its been gettin over here in Ohio.

If you think it's hot over there in Ohio, then you better be prepared when you go down south to So. California...

And X will most likely not be operating on the day of your visit. The park has removed all signs of the attraction from their automated answering machine, web-site, and TV ads. Sorry for the bad news. But who knows? You might get lucky.

You'll have a great time at SFMM even without X, if you catch it on a good day. And Knott's will MORE than make up for the disappointment of X being closed.
I just want to know what is going on with this ride. I heard that they have to check it every hour or something just to make sure everything is still safe. I thought that they would sort all that stuff out by now. I'm really excited about Xcelerator, Goliath, and Ghostrider though. What can i expect out of Magic Mountain and Knotts. I figured that i would compare Sfmm with Cedar Point. But Knotts, I don't know what to compare it with. I figured maybe a park like Dorney or something cause the only 2 Cedar Fair Parks I've been to are Dorney and Cedar Point. Oh well, if you can help thatd be great.
