When is CP least crowded?

I might be going to CP Aug 4-5. That is a monday and a tuesday. I have two questions: Is CP really that crowded on a monday, and what are the crowds like during August? Thanks. I expect at least a couple people to know the answers to these questions.
Sorry Alex but i can't help you. I go on Sundays. But I can tell you that Sundays arn't that crowded in case you have any future plans.

Don't you hate it when parents make you leave Cedar Point early.

(Answering the original question: "When is CP least crowded?")

I would have to say anytime between November and April. ;)

Seriously, it'll probably still be quite busy since it's August - nowhere near a weekend crowd though.

The LEAST crowded? NEVA!

We went a few weeks ago on a Tuesday and Wednesday..up until 6 pm, all the rides had good waits except for Gemini, Corkscrew and Mean Streak.

Expect MF to always be an hour or more..but it's crazy in August! Even during the week..so I hope you plan on being there 2 days :)

The least crowded is halloweekend sundays. last year my family and I went on that day and we had walk-ons all day. the longest wait was 45 min for MF and it took 45 min because they were putting on another train.

The opening two weeks, while the kiddies are still in school, is the only time of the year that you can bet on a light crowd, and even then only during the week. From there on, it's all about weather and holidays.

Yeah, and speaking of holidays, I was foolish enough to hit CP for the first time on Memorial Day. Big mistake!!!!

Is it busy the last week of August? Are Ohio "kiddies" back to school by then?

jimmybob, I was going to say that when I read the title of this post! Nice to know I'm not the only one who thinks that way.

Drew- Yeah, the kids are usually back to school between the 20th and 27th or so.

I just went Sunday and it was light crowds to the max. Of course i did arrive at 6:30. I really like the new FREE WAY thing they are doing. Got on force in 10 minutes, then ran back to Maggie to finish off the day with 4 rides.

joey: Still depends on weather. I've been slammed pretty hard on Sundays in September, all the way through closing day.

Can we change the name of Top Gun to your mom so no one wants to ride your mom?

Well, my friend went on a friday in the beginning of June and found the waits to not be that long. Giving a rough estimate, but what rides would have what lengths if I went on a monday, anytime of the season?

Same thing. I had always heard that the crowds were lite so we made a trip. We were still able to ride everyting that we wanted at least once though.

I went last year on a Monday and Tuesday in mid-August and our waits were very short, except for MF. We also followed the strategy of going to Soak City during the "main" part of the day and then hitting the coasters in the late afternoon and evenings.

One of my friends goes to Hersheypark on the 4th of July and gets walk-ons on every ride. :-)

Yes I'm 15, no I'm not childish, I'm not being sarcastic, well maybe I do have somewhat of an ego...

I think I'm gunna make it August 19th (last Monday that its open till 11:00) I think that'lll be the perfect day to go as I think some of the kids will be in school now.

Strange, are you talking about Memorial Day WEEKEND or Memorial Day. I went to both and Memorial Day weekend was terrible, but Memorial Day was awesome, hardly any lines!
