Whats Your Favorite Roller Coaster, And Why?

It's like asking someone what their favorite movie is. You say "the Lord of the Rings trilogy was awesome!" and someone else says "Man I hated those films. They were too long, there were too many characters to follow. Couldn't they just have made one film? Peter Jackson sold out soooo bad. "Dead Alive (the unrated version of course) is his best film ever!" And it goes on and on like that.

So that's why asking someone what their favorite roller coaster just doesn't work. Too many opinions and you know what they say about those...

#1 wood: PGA Grizzly or Psyclone

You totally freaked me out for a second. ;)

Since I've yet to state my claim (ever) on this site regarding my preferences:

I'm a versatile top.

Pardon me while I book the next flight to Seattle....
Not only have I MET CPNut, I rode Wicked Twister with him! It was a surreal experience. I nearly peed my pants.

I still like pie. Jeff, do you like pie?

I think there's still a decent number of us around from the great Days of the Pancakes. What ever happened to Playa anyway? He always had a great link to those classic threads ... they should be required reading for the ToS ;)

... oh wait, we've seen how much that keeps things under wraps ;)

Best Wood: Dollywoods THUNDERHEAD

Best Steel Looping: Great America's SUPERMAN

Best Steel Non Looping: Magic Kingdom's SPACE MTN.

Best Traditional Park: BLACKPOOL PLEASURE BEACH

Best Theme Park: HOLY LAND EXPERIENCE

Best Waterpark: GINNIE SPRINGS

'Nuff Said? :)

Thas a good question Brett! Playa disappeared around the same time as Tekno. I miss them so. . . . . well maybe Tekno.
I like Riddlers Revenge the best because it has everything in a coaster that I could ask for. Smooth ride, good duration 3:00, I love loops and RR has a 124'ft loop, 2 dive loops and an inclined loop. (Also has 2 corkscrews.) RR leads in every standup rollercoaster category, speed, height, drop, length. I love going up the chain lift and seeing the other train roar above us. (Chainlift is inside a loop.) I recommend riding it at night, looks sharp with the green lights. The music played in the loading station is "Ecuador - Bruce Wayne Edit" by Sash. :)

Ahh, I'm going to have to go ahead and ask you to come in on Sunday, too...

I'm in total agreement with Moosh (though with many less coasters under my belt). Now, about getting M:TR under my belt...

And of course I remember pancakes.

If it is boring to read what people like and why they like them, then why do polls such as the Coasterbuzz Coaster's Choice Awards and Mitch's Poll exist?
Personally, I prefer not saying what is boring. My friends think that roller coasters are boring, I don't. However neither of us tell the other that what we enjoy discussing is boring.
However I did agree to the TOS, which is way too strict, if you ask me (no one is asking me by the way). *** Edited 4/11/2006 3:56:08 AM UTC by a_hoffman50***

The only reason this thread hasn't been closed is that the mods are terribly bored with the recent influx of newbies, and are avoiding the site like the plague.

As much fun as a thread like this can turn out (;)), this doesn't need to be here.

*yawn*

Quazi? I hear the humpback on that coaster is awesome!
I enjoy reading these lists to find out which other posters have similar interests in rides.

Steel

  1. Dominator very smooth, great views
  2. Flight of Fear fast pace with disorienting loops
  3. Millenium Force (can't ride now) first major coaster! preceeded only by Iron Dragon and Gemini.

Wood - what is wood? Most woodies that I have ridden are way too painful to be enjoyable, especially by a larger and taller person.

Thrill - Zipper

No Moosh, it's only Quazi-good ;)
Da dum CHA!

I'll be here all week folks.

Cherry pie is pretty good, but you can't beat a good piece of Apple. I really can't stand the cream pies, if you're that into cream, go eat ice cream and leave me and my pie alone. Peach pie is a little odd, but still not bad. A good piece of Eat N Park strawberry pie will hit the spot on a nice summer day.

You know what else goes good with pie? Orange juice. Orange juice goes good with anything come to think of it. Heck, I'm drinking some right now! Here's to orange juice!

Come back Tekno and Playa ... this thread is like the Batsignal!

Woot woot.

My favorite roller coaster is Goudurix at Parc Asterix ... that place rocks! But the footnotes get on your nerves at times, it gets hard to walk around. Have you ever stepped in a footnote? It's almost impossible to get it off your shoe. There's also the occasional citation of important information lying around, but typically the asterisk is only used for footnotes. But yea, Goudurix ROCKS! Yinz need to go ride that shizzynit.

Peace. and pie.

Fair enough question. As to an answer, how about "Why repeat the same topic over and over when polls exist to tell you exactly what you're asking?"

Did you know you can make gluten-free pancakes? They're not half-bad, either. *** Edited 4/11/2006 1:10:28 PM UTC by GregLeg***
