My question was to find out if they had cleared out the flats yet and also curious if KI would get any of them. Also to find out the status of the 3 remaining coasters. Yet all I personally care about is Big Dipper. I really loved that ride and was able to ride it 7 times in a row this past summer with my oldest son who loves it as well. :-)
^KI most likely will not get the Hay Bailer, Sea Dragon, Wipeout, Rapids ride, Scrambler, Balloon Race, Spider, or Double Inverter. They are all for sale. Carowinds is supposedly getting the Yo-Yo. I'm guessing that the ferris wheel is saved, and going to a Cedar Fair park. I also thought I heard that the Huss smaller Swing Around was going to another park. I don't know what they are planning on doing with El Dorado.
Personally I was hoping KI would get Americana. They need to add a fun family ride like that. A ferris wheel is a good add to the park and could replace the trampolines (where zodiac once sat).
^^Do you think a park like Kings Island would ever invest in a ferris wheel? That is strange that they don't have one. Hell, I don't even know what one would cost. Anyone know?
Top 5, in no particular order: 1. MF 2. Maverick, 3. Kraken 3. El Toro, 4. TTD 5. Superman Krypton Coaster
Top overrated coasters: 1. Incredible Hulk (Boooooring!) 2. Nitro 3. Expedition G-force 4.
Goliath(SFMM) 5. Any Dive Coaster
Actually I kinda wish someone would get Americana, in fact, I want someone to get Americana and I want Cedar Point to get Plunge just like many people want. If either one of these come true someone needs to tell me so I can watch the forums, it will be amazing!
Peter and anyone else who knows anything about these rides will understand the sarcasm
Re: the lack of Ferris wheel at KI--do any of the former Paramount parks have one? I know KI and KD don't, and I'm fairly certain Carowinds doesn't either. What about GA and CW?
KI of course used to have TWO Ferris Wheels once upon a time. They had a standard Eli Bridge wheel that was there until 1990 and the Zodiac double ferris wheel ran from 1975 to 1986 and was removed in 1989 after three years of SBNO. It would have to be a BIG ferris wheel that comes in to KI, and Americana should fit the bill. Then again, CP has that gigantic one and I can't remember the last time I saw them loading that thing to full capacity. Then again I have only been there on Halloweekends the last several years, not a Saturday in July.
