Whats up at IOA?

Everywon talks about IOA and how great it is[which is probibly true when I saw it being built] People say they need new rides well wouldn't they have something planned for 2001? I don't remember an addition for 2000?[ was it something like Men in Black the ride?} Well it wasn't a coaster. So whats up!?

Riddler's Revenge: THE MOST UNDERRATED RIDE IN THE WORLD!
Actually, Men in Black is the new ride at Universal Studios. And IOA did add two new rides this year: The Flying Unicorn, a Vekoma family coaster, and Storm Force Accelatron, a spinning tea-cups type ride. Next year, Sylvester McMonkey McBean's Unusual Driving Machines is scheduled to finally open. As for the next major attraction, there are rumors floating around about either a Jurassic Park jeep ride or a runaway sled ride down the the side of a mountain themed to the Grinch.
thanks!

I think If they add Jarastic park it will be better than the one in LA. More like a perlious Plunge type drop

RIDDLER'S REVENGE: THE MOST UNDERRATED RIDE IN THE WORLD!
Todd: They already have a Jurassic Park themed 'shoot-the-chutes' like in LA. The "new" Jurassic Park themed ride would be like a jeep safari thru Jurassic Park, where you would actually ride in a jeep-like vehicle and encounter the various thunder-lizards.
That would be pretty cool if they got a Jurassic jeep ride. I doubt it though because Animal Kingdom has Count Down to Extinction, which would probobly be exactly the same. I think it would be awesome if IOA got a big new coaster(THEY DEFININTLY HAVE THE MONEY). The Grinch idea sounded cool but I doubt it since Seuss Land is for mostly little kids. In my opinion I think Jurassic Park will get the next big expensive ride since it seems to have the most space and the least amount of things to do and is usually one of the least crowded of the islands.
They ain't gettin' nothing next year 'cause the park didn't generate as much revenue as they predicted.

Universal is having a record year, but paying back the interest on a 2 billion dollar park ain't easy. They're still in the red big time, although it's not as bad as last year. (Think of how a mortgage payment works.)The Jeep Safari which has been on the drawing boards for about 2 years now is nothing like Countdown To Extinction. You go in a jeep safari ride, it starts raining, and the T-Rex attacks the jeep with passengers inside, (like that scene in the movie)flipping it over, and even picking it up in it's jaws!(Yes, you read that correctly). Unfortunately, it's price tag is well over $100 million, so don't hold your breath for that one at least until the Florida complex is in the black.
Dave OBrien, where did u get the info on the safari ride?
This was mentioned a year ago on Screamscape(who are usually almost correct). I'm also there quite a bit(Twice a year for a week each, being from Jersey it's a project to get there). I've also quizzed ride ops, Universal Behind The Scenes Tour Guides and an author I met there who wrote a book about the Universal complex. I'm not saying it's written in stone, but the description of the ride is pretty much what they all said. Due to the cost and the guys with ties still pulling out their hair about getting into the black, it's been put into the "For Possible Future Reference" catagory.
I'll be in Orlando at the beginning of Noevember, so if I see any goings on I'll be sure to notify all of you about it.
