What's the deal with Z-Force?

What's the deal with Z-Force...errrr...I mean Flashback at SFMM?  How come they don't run it?  I've heard that it's really rough and un enjoyable, but it's a one-of-a-kind coaster, you would think SFMM would be proud of something like that.

Consider that the ride had been handed down twice by the time it got to SFMM, and that most parks don't give away a popular ride.

Ohhhhh....I see....but still, I wouldn't say that Ninja at SFoG is popular, or smooth.

The current reason that I heard for them not running it was that it was loud and was distracting the lifeguards at Hurrican Harbor.  This sort of fits in because when I went this summer HH was closed and Flashback was open, and Ive heard that it has been open more lately now that HH isn't open.  If you're hoping to ride it though, don't get too excited about it.  The drops are fun, but it is rough and the long straightaways are dull.  If it is open when you go, go ahead and ride it, but if it is not, don't lose sleep over it.

Mustang, I've SEEN the ride twice in my life and not gotten to ride it yet...I WILL lose sleep if I go to CoasterCon and it's not running (pretty sure it will be).  You are absolutely correct about the "official reason" for its being closed.  I love one-of-a-kind rides, and this is SUCH a funky innovation...kind of like a Wildcat turned sideways...

Oh, and yes, he may be stoned off his ass, but that might be unrelated to his falling off the donkey...

It's the worst roller coaster I've ever been on. I can honestly say I will never ride it agian, even though I plan to go back to Magic Mountain several times.

I got off the ride with this paradox: The same company that designed my favorite roller coaster also designed my least favorite.

I rode it quite a bit when it was at Six Flags Great America and it was great. I missed that ride when they pulled it out and would love to ride it again.

I also rode it for the years it was SFGAm and never understood the complaining about this ride at SFMM. I thought is was a great ride and was very unhappy when it left.  If SFMM doesn't want it send it back to its birthplace.
