What's Next For Dorney?

Dorney is a great park. I've found myself on Talon this year more times then I expected. As far as the prices go, I spent 88.00 on a season pass which includes:Parking, wildwater,AND admission to cedar point and the other cedar fair parks. Without the pass I could get tickets for 22.00 at my local sure save, or if you want to go after 5 it's 14.95. I think it's one of the best deals aside from knoebels.

If they retrack hercules, add some more flat rides, and one more coaster this park is gonna be a MAJOR contendor in the east, if it isn't one already. This year the park is cleaner then ever, the landscaping is nice and the empolyees are running rides with cedar-point-like capacity.

Good luck in philly j.r.
i truly think dorneys next big task will be to re design hercules to make it a more pleasurable ride. i dont mean only retracking but i mean redesigning the tracks route in some areas. someone posted about this before. i highly doubt the rumor about the new giant woodie. dorney has had one for 12 years and prob found it there biggest disapponiment investment-wise ever. i think they are just gonna work with the giant woodie that they have. they are really sick of the bickering im sure.the new high tech theater, new eateries, and construction on wildwater(*sniff,, the body slides they will b gone soon), and some low laying rides near the midway will all be added within the next year or 2. we just gotta get some trees in this park dorney!
i'm thinking stand up
as much as wed all love to see a standup or floorless,,,talon was an expensive date. she cost a good 15 mill. lets enjoy this beauty of a coaster. dorney isnt infamous for building year after year like some parks around it are*cough cough *hersheypark. dorneys all about quality. they take time in making big investments in their park. that could also be due to the help of southwhitehall township. but anyways, when dorney makes investments, they make sure they are making a good one. aside from giving herc a facelift, i wouldnt doubt it if they build a small looper like laser or a small woodie like thunderhawk in the next year or 2. anything big i think will be put off for another few years.
I think in 2003 dorney will see a thrill ride but for a mjor coaster you may have to wait a little after that, but I know nothing about Dorney, i just have looked at past ride history.

Top Five Ohio Coasters:
1. Son of Beast - PKI
2. Millennuim Force - CP
3. Beast - PKI
4. Mantis - CP
5. Raptor - CP
Since they have anything from Steel,Wood,Inverted I would think a stand up like Mantis at Cedar Point?

What is your grudge against Hershey. Either way All parks build something year after year exmpale Dorney:2001 Talon, 2000 Camp Snoopy and others, 1999 Dominator, 1998 Hang Time, 1997 Steel Force)
Hershey:2001 ATT Night lites, 2000 Lighting Racer, 1999 Midway America, 1998 Great Bear)
The only true thing you said was South Whithall township. Dorney has a long time to wait while these people decide wether or not they could get what they want.

I wouldn't think any park would spend a few million and not have quality in mind. It's just not logical.
