Whats Going in Drachen Fire's Place

Busch Gardens has a very big vacent spot now. What do you think they are going to do with it? I think they should build a B&M Flyer. That would be really cool. BGW really needs a Wooden Coaster too.

The park has said no coaster will go in that place. Whatever they get next, it will most likely go elsewhere.

A B&M flyer or woodie would work for me. Busch seems to like B&M coasters so I wouldn't be suprised to see another.

A great big headstone that reads....

"Hear lyeth the remains of a once fabled legend known as Drachen Fire, the most exausted topic of many a coaster message board. Let us drinketh a toast and eateth a weinerschnitzel to the ride that barely and poorly operated yet gaineth us tons of free attention."

This kind of topic is way too overdiscussed...

lets not even guess what they are putting in, can we please just wait
They are putting nothing. The section is diserted and very hard to access.
One of the problems of Drachen Fire was that it had a bad location. Busch doesnt make a mistake twice.

They tried installing an intense, well-paced inverted coaster at their parks twice and look where it got them :o)

I predict a GCI is going in it's place. May be dueling like Gwazi, but I just have a feeling.

They can't get a woodie. The noise restrictions don't let them

Life is a roller coaster ride it!!!

I think they should put a B&M version of drachen fire in its place. The same layout, but b&M track. They know what they are doing, they would make it smooth as glass just like most, if not all, of thier coasters.

.....based on the poor location *in* the park, and Busch's decision to invest SQUAT in their parks this year, tells me that it will most likely be grass for some time...

Any resemblance between this post and humor is purely coincidental. No robots were harmed in the filming of this episode...The sarcasm filter default has been left ON for your enjoyment.

Since I don't believe I'm allowed to quote the Amusement Business article about Drachen Fire, I will sumarize the ending:

There are no plans for the area where Drachen Fire was. There are definitely no plans for a coaster to fill that spot, and the space will likely be used for educational opportunties (day camps, etc).

day camps! Who wants day camps. BGW needs rollercoasters not day camps. This is probally real, because i think i read it somewhere else.

Wow, man, you said it! They should fill their park with coasters so only the coaster enthusiasts will visit. Great idea! (end sarcasm) Newsflash: parks are in the business of bringing in guests and making money, not satisfying coaster enthusiasts.

Busch has a lot of other land for coasters, and the place where Drachen Fire was is not advantageous for coasters. When they do add another coaster I would doubt that they would place it in the shadow of Das Festhaus again. Drachen Fire was incredibly difficult to find if you didn't know the park well.
