Whats everyone's favorite rollercoaster and why?

For wood I would have to say hoosier hurricane at indiana beach and beast at pki. For steel I would definatly say MF and magnum. THey are all great coasters and have something unique about them. My favorite woodie is about to change though when I ride cornball express.
For me, Medusa at SFMW is my all-time favorite. I just can't get enough of it's smoothness and awesome inversions. The first drop is wicked without being overly intense, and the coaster gives fairly good g's. I love when I fly up out of my seat on the first drop! Peace. :)
my favorite steel coaster is millennium force. that's one powerful ride.
my favorite wood is probably hurricane at myrtle beach. the helixs on it are very intense.
my all time favorite would have to be the jack rabbit at sea breeze because it was my first full sized coaster ride.

I think My favorites are the new Batman: The Ride at SFMM and Superman:TE. You might be thinking I am crazy but what ever kinda of ride superman was It is awesome staring at that loooong track in the front row just waiting to be luanched up the 415 ft tower! Then Batman. This ride probibly has the best theming of all the Batman's along with SFGA. The ride is fresh out of re hab and I was shocked when I rode it in the front seat how awesome it got!

Shivering Timbers, easily the greatest airtime of any coaster, period. It would take a truly groundbreaking earthshattering ride to knock ST off my personal #1 spot! (something like the 4D, maybe?)

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
Either Millenium Force - Nitro - Beast tough call
Millenium Force...I like it best because I do...

Spoon!
I think anyone that rides MF will love it, best overall, guaranteed! Its my favorite
Montu is my favorite coaster.

There are currently 11 coasters with the name Batman, 8 with the name Superman and 22 with the name Boomerang. Batman and Superman: The Ultimate Chiller Knight Flight Krypton Escape Ride. *** This post was edited by PT300 on 4/29/2001. ***
Ghostrider-greatest assembly of wood ever
Viper @SFMM- First big one i ever went on
Alpengeist- no inverted comes close
where are most of u guys from cuz this list is serious lacking any coasters out west
My favorite rollercoaster is Goliath because it is the first hyper I've ever ridden, to me nothing can beat that first drop(the greatest drop to me), the airtime on it is incredible, it's amazingly smooth, and the speed is awsome. I've ridden other coasters but out all of them Goliath is just number one on my list.
Superman: Ride of Steel at SFNE is easily my number one. It has a perfect first drop, great airtime, three incredible helices, and two surprisingly refreshing as well as scary tunnels. What more could you want from a roller coaster?
Medusa At Six Flags Marine World(the drop is biger then it looks)
I am genuinely startled by the lack of wood on most of these lists. *thumbs down*

Don't touch the watch.
Haven't been on Nitro. But my favorite coaster right now... ummm.... Raptor. Talk about disorienting! Yikes! Don't get me wrong, I love Millennium Force. It's fast, powerful and mean. But not as disorienting as Raptor. Then again, it's hard for me to judge one better than another. I love them all!

LOL. And pray tell, what exactly did you find mean about MF?

It is hard to pick a favorite but:

Steel would be M. Force at the Point. I'am a big fan of huge first drops and tremendous speed. Obviously this is one of the biggest and fastest.

Wood would be Shivering Timbers or the Beast. ST because of the air time and the trick track. The Beast for its length, tunnels and speed.
OK - Here's a small list.
Inverter - Montu, followed closely by Nemesis.
Woodie - Grand National, followed closely by Shivering Timbers.
Steel - Magnum
Overall - Magnum!

I've been riding Magnum since it was built in 1989, and honestly, every time I ride, it still amazes me. Though the condition of the ride hasn't been "great" in recent years, it still blows me away. The Airtime on Magnum is just unbelievable. I've been on quite a lot of coasters, and not many match Magnum's ejector air. What other coasters can you come off the ride with major bruises from the excessive airtime?? I've only found a few, but Magnum blows them away. Now, Millennium does have the best drop on the planet IMO, SROS@SFNE is incredible, GhostRider and BoulderDash are simply marvelous 3 and 4 on my woodie list. As strange as it sounds, I don't really keep a "favorites list" excepting 3-4 coasters for each category.
