What Would You Prefer- Schlitterbahn or SFOT?

I am asking you guys what you prefer, because I am going to the one most people like first next season.

Which park, Schlitterbahn Waterpark in New Braunfels, Texas, or Six Flags over Texas, should I go to first?

Well it depends what you want to do waterslides or coasters. There really is no comparison of the parks, they are two different creatures. I think that SFFT is probably the nicest SF Park I have been too as far as theming and landscape is concerned, but its coaster selection is limited for a SF park. There is a great selection of flats though. Schlitterbahn is an awesome waterpark, but I've always been more of a thrill park person.

*EDIT*- I misread the post the first time thinking it said SFFT instead of SFoT given the closer proximity between SFFT and Schlitterbahn. While SFoT has some great coasters the park tends to be incredibly crowded. Several times this year when I went I spent eight hours for about 5 rides. However, I went last week to Holiday in the Park and got 3 rides on Titan in less than an hour. Given my choice of Texas parks I choose SFFT. The analysis is still as I said above, simple coasters or waterslides.

You like Coasters. Go to SFOT.

They have a waterpark also

But their waterpark bites the big one.

Then just ride the coasters then! over, and over, and over, and over... pee break! ove and over, and over, and over...

I would say it depends on the day of the week or time of the year. Schlitterbahn gets ridiculously crowded we heard (I was there in May, so it wasn't bad). We saw a sign advertising a two-hour wait from this point for the Master Blaster waterslide. Let that be a warning. -------------

Nope.

2 Hours for a waterslide! Is there any more room in the water because of all those people? Now I admit, I'd wait two hours for maybe X or Millie but for a waterslide that's insane.

Master Blaster isn't just any old waterslide. It's a lot more like a coaster, and in fact has a double-down section. Dragon Blaster across the way kicked butt also. Imagine a ride where you're launched multiple times during the ride, not just once or twice, and you have a Master Blaster slide.

Schlitterbahn is really cool (no pun intended) for a waterpark but I personally would rather go to SFOT. If money is an issue, SFOT and Schlitterbahn are surprisingly similar in price but you could get coupons for both. Like it was stated earlier, they aren't really even comparable. I would go to SFOT though, it's more bang for the buck.
