What the HECK! (Ricochet)

I thought Ricochet at PC was going to be like the fly but after looking at those pics on XPP, it just looks standard, am I missing something???

No, Ricochet at Paramount's Kings Dominion is the clone of the Fly and the Carowinds one is the standard Mack mouse.

StarCoasters, rcdb gives the same stats for both of the '02 Ricochets.  Doesn't give enough stats for The Fly.  I assumed they were both the same coaster to both parks, apparently in error.  I like the layout of The Fly (at least the pics).  Has Paramount said anything, or do you know this from somewhere else?

This is a fact for a number of reasons. One, Susan Lomax said that in a statement. Two, I believe it was in the media release (don't have it with me at the moment). And three, and the biggest of all, the coaster is sitting right there with its track complete in the standard mouse design.

Hey Roller...the Carowinds is definitely the standard Mack mouse.  I had a friend go over and look around at the Mouse site and said its definitely the clone of the Hershey Mouse (with a different support set-up.)  Says its really looks nice too.

The press release for the PKD one mentioned the custom designed 50 ft drop similar to the Fly.  (I think I'd rather have the Fly clone here in the Carolinas.)  The press release for the Carowinds model didn't mention a 50ft drop.  It just focused on the twists and turns aspect of the ride.  (*yawn*)    Gotta make it sound exciting somehow :)
