What SoCal parks should i hit

I'll be going to california from june 17 through the 27th and am wondering which parks i should hit.  The most parks i can hit are 3.  I want to visit SFMM for sure.  X looks awesome.  I cant think of 2 more.  I would like to go to Knott's but am not sure if there is enough things to do there.  I know how everyone raves about Ghostrider, and xcellerator looks great, but all they have besides that are 2 shuttle loopers and 2 junior coasters.  I don't really have an interest in going to Disneyland, but DCA looks good.  however i heard it doesn't have many attractions and can get very crowded.  There's no chance im going to universal studios again.  That place was terrible.  I dont want to go north to PGA and SFMW, so what parks should i hit?

Do SFMM, Knott's and Disneyland. DCA is nothing compared to DL! Knott's is also a great park.

Not MLK's words but mine..I have a Dream! I have a DREAM! I HAVE A DREAM!
I have a dream! That SFMM fans will be able to walk hand in hand with CP's!
AND no ONE cares what a coaster is and what a coaster isn't!

Definitely hit SFMM, Knotts, and Disneyland.  No question about it.  All three of those are great parks.
They have 2 shuttle loops???

I think he's referring to Monte and Boomerang.
Universal was terrible? Before I read your post, and just saw the topic, I was going to suggest that place first! ET and T:2 3D are absolutely awesome! What's so terrible about it? I'd take Knott's after that. There is something to be said about the old time charm that place exhibits, something Magic Mountain sorely lacks.

Go to Knott's. Go directly to Knott's, do not pass go, and do not collect $200...

I visited three parks (Adventure City, Knott's, and SFMM) in SoCal this weekend, and Knott's was definitely the best overall experience.

All of them!?

Out of the coasters i've ridden here is wat i rank them overall:(ive been to canobie lake and SFNE)
1. S:RoS 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Riverside Cyclone 4. Canobie Corkscrew 5. Thunderbolt 6. Galaxy 7. Mind Eraser 8. Dragon coaster 9. poison ivy's tangled
True that Knotts doesnt have all that much, But GhostRider is definately worth it alone. Try not to go on a busy Summer weekend. I have had more fun riding GhostRider over & over again than I have at at some parks altogether. If you go after 4pm, you can get in for $20. If you go on a weekday, you might be able to get several turns on GR and hit the other rides once before closing.

I havent been to DCA, but if you havent been to Disneyland, I wouyld suggest going there.

SFMM for sure. Got my first ride on X this weekend and it WAS awesome, but not life changing. While X probably ranks easily in my top 10, Millenium Force is #1 and GhostRider is #2. Nothing else has come close to those two rides IMO. Dont underestimate Deja Vu. Quite easily the most surprisingly intense ride I've ridden.

i'll be going between march 29-april 8th now.  I didnt like USH because in comparison to USF its terrible.  Yeah, T2:3D is awesome, but ET?  oh well.  i've also heard that ghostrider is a lot like SFWoA's villain, is this true?  finally, will xcellerator be open by then?

HurricaneGeauga- Just in case

Xcelerator is scheduled to open in May.

GhostRider is NOT like Villain. In fact, not even close. GhostRider is one of the few rides that I hold high above the others for it supremacy. Villain is good, but not GREAT.

Note to riders: The rear seats are MUCH better than the front on GhostRider. The elements are enhanced and the ride is smoother.

Sounds like you'll be going there at a pretty good time of the year. Crowds should be relatively small. On a weekday after 4pm in Late March/early April you should be able to ride everything at Knotts and GR a few times before the park closes. Everything is 10min or less. Jaguar, Boomerang, Montezoomas Revenge and Calico Mine Ride are all usually walk-ons. GhostRider and Supreme Scream usually have short waits. Perilous Plunge (if open) should be walk-on too, but make sure you get a plastic poncho from the gift stand before riding (you WILL get SOAKED otherwise). Skip the dino ride.

As my pal LoadedG says.....Ghostrider ain't nothin' like anything else!  The BEST ride in the world IMHO, and that is pretty humble.  I will take any seat, any time of the day, any time of the year.  It is amazing...:)  With that out of the way, don't forget the awesome Supreme Scream and Monte.  Yeah, the boomerang is so-so, but Jaguar! is fun and there are a few other surprises at the park.  I did like USH, but still not my thing.  I am not a theme park guy per se, so.....hit SFMM, KBF and DL....DCA is nice, but nothing to scream over.

HurricaneG - If those vacation dates fall during Spring Break prepare for crowds.  You'll know if its Spring Break by checking each park's Hours of Operation on their websites, they stay open later that week.
Whatever you do...go to Disney Land.  It really is just plain heavenly.
