New this year? BGT, Sea World Orlando, CEDAR POINT, maybe PKI and Big Cheif's Carts and Coasters. Should be a fun year.

Jack, who can't wait for Opening Day 2001...
For me, it will be my "dream vacation" of SFMM, PGA, SFMW, KBF, and SCBB.
Though with all the talk of Cali's power problems, it has me somewhat concerned.
X Factor
Planned "New to me" parks include Holiday World, Dorney, Hershey (amazing, but true, on those two), Islands of Adventure, BGT, Rye's Playland, SFNE, Lake Compounce, and hopefully others (although I'll be pretty happy if I get to all of those ;) )

New to me in 2001 are Adventureland (Iowa), Joyland (Kansas), Bell's Amusement Park, Americana if it re-opens and I am going to try real hard to make it to PPP this year
Due to the fact that I'll probably be filming for a band that's touring amusement parks this year parks planned are, Indiana Beach, Silver Dolalr City, Michigan's Adventure, Worlds of Fun, and Six Flags Great America.
I'll also be returning this year to Valleyfair!, Adventureland, and Six Flags St. Louis.

You build it, I'll ride it...eventually
One way or another, I simply must get to Paramount's Great America and ride Stealth; any one out there know if it's actually worth it?
I also have to get up to the Santa Crus Beach Boardwalk and ride the Giant Dipper.
Does any body out there know of any cool parks within a not too huge radius from the Bakersfield area in Cali? I know of all the big ones like the ones mentioned above, KBF, Disney, and my home park, SFMM. I'm curious about lesser known places. Thanks in advance.

Live to RIDE!!!
I am definitely going to be hitting Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Paramount's King's Dominion, and possibly Six flags St Louis.

New this year for me will be SFO (though I was at Geauga Lake when I was 6) and PKI (I was there when I was 5) Also planning a trip to BGW and a few trips to Kennywood.

Greg, with the exception of Dorney and Rye, I hit all of those parks for the first time last year. Trust me, you are in for a great summer!
As for me, I plan on going to Dorney, SFGAdv, Indiana Beach, and possibly Michigan's Adventure and some of the New Jersey boardwalk parks.
SFMM, SFGAm, DCA, and who knows what else along the way ;) maybe USH?!?

I would probably hit up Magic Mountain. I want to see if it is as ghetto as many people say :)

I'm going to Hersheypark and kennywood next year... also thinking about SFO? oh yeah and BGW. I guess going to PKD would be a new park because I only went there once for four hours and rode Anaconda, OL:FOF, Hurler, and Grizzly, and watched Volcano being built. They put the top piece of track that comes out of the volcano up when i was there.
My summer trip will be an adventure into PA with hopes of hitting Kennywood, Hershey, and Knobels. I'd love to hit Dorney to ride Talon, but I don't think I'll be able to get that much time off. Plus that's wedding season, and as a DJ I don't like to be gone on the weekends. :-)

Knoebels, Hershey and Dorney are the perfect 3 parks to hit in PA for a weekend trip. From any of the three it's about an hour and a half or less between the other two (each are separatted by between 55 and 70 miles).
Knoebels can be hit in a few hours by just buying tickets and hitting the 4 coasters, Flyers, Bumper Cars, Grand Carousel and the Haunted Mansion. You could hit all of them for under 10 bucks and be on your way to either Hershey or Dorney for the rest of the day.

Not Too Shabby For A Summer
Well, Coasterpunk, I will be soon hitting you up for tips and information about summer trips, then. Thanks for everything last year!
June: SFGAm, SFDL, Waldemeer
July: BGW, PKD, SFA, SFGA
August: Hit the treasures that we found last year, Kennywood & Hershey, but adding Dorney and Knoebles.
I love summer jobs that pay for these trips!!!

I love working OT jobs in the winter so I can take the summer off jobs best. I had one of them last winter 6, 10 hour days and 7, 12 hour days for about 3 months. That paid for my 2 Ohio Trips Paramont, Six Flag, Cedar Fair and Hershey passes too. plus a few days in Virginia, and Knoebels to boot.

Coasterpunk, I have considered doing both Hershey and Knobels in one day. Doesn't one of them offer a discounted night time pass?
-Eric
I understand Hershey offers some sort of deal where if you buy your ticket for the next day after 6:00 or 7:00 (not sure about the time), you get to preview the park for the rest of the night for "free."
